| 162 | Lyn Wandell | Please make sure these property owners are fairly compensated for this damaging effect this project will have on their properties. |
| 163 | AnnRaNae Meders | First of all, rest areas should be placed where they do not impact current residences--if they do impact the privacy and peacefulness of residences and negatively affect current property values the owners should be FULLY AND FAIRLY compensated. |

| 165 | Candace Doyle | Please reconsider this disastrous plan - the last thing Ashland needs is a nearby tourist welcome center and highway rest area to encourage people who might not otherwise come to Ashland and who might not have the best of intentions. It is also a nightmare for the people living nearby, and a shame to destroy the beautiful rural area that is Crowson Road. |

| 168 | shazna jai | please reconsider this abominable move to destroy the peace of residents alongside 5 interstate. my friend who lives at 488 crowson as well as others in the neighborhood deserve the right to have their homes/land/property respected by the state and odot.
thank you for your consideration. |
| 169 | Jon Bono | If we let this all just occur without a measure of fairness & justice, how much closer are we to the 'dictatorships that we fight against, & that we as a democracy supposedly stand for..
wake up, local politicians, this is, & could be any one of you at any time soon, so let's be conscious and fair with 'all things considered... |
| 170 | Tiziana DeRovere | Please, protect the environment. |

| 172 | Dan Altman | I ask that this plan only be approved if those individuals whose lives will be so negatively impacted be adequately compensated to make up for their loss of privacy, their exposure to the noise and risk of having such a facility nearby. It will diminish their property value significantly and this just doesn’t seem fair. |

I too am opposed to your proposal to build a rest area on I-5 between exits No. 14 and exit 19.
The Business Community and the ODOT has no right to overide the People's Community using the excuse of "imminent domain" is this is the case.
Please correct if I am wrong here. The business community will not be negatively effected by such a move unless of course an espresso stand or a massage "parlor" would open its doors a few yards away for the passerby. .
As I see it the business community will have a positive impact and the residental community will have a much bigger negative impact in comparison.
In addition the ODOT already has a rest area on Interstate 5 ( I think ) betweem exit's No.24 and 19. Why in the name of so many negative impacts would the ODOT propose such a project?
I have heard that there is a law that a rest area has to be built at so many intervals in the state. Is there a law that says each rest area has to be a certain distance from each other? Or is the ODOT planning on closing the existing rest area?
Last but not even close to not least, what does the Phoenix and Talent business community say about closing the current rest area? |

| 188 | Robert Gluckson | Sharon Miranda is a powerful asset to our community. If a city project impacts her negatively we all suffer.
The impact of HWY 5 is already a mixed blessing. New developments should be considerate of the people already here. |

| 191 | Stephanie Nord | Less impact on the community. Let's retain a little bit of the small town feel of which a lot is gone. The impact on land owners around the proposed area is far too great. NO!! |

| 193 | Anonymous | we dont want this here! Our area is already impacted enough by tourist interests and negligent state and federal mismanagement. enough is enough! |
| 194 | elise thiel | 321 clay st. #19 ashland, or 97520
i oppose the rest area near crowson road which is one of the few beautiful, seemingly rural areas left in ashland. find another area inbetween towns that will not affect so many home owners.
sincerely, elise thiel |
| 195 | Cynthia Bauman | Please do not build this at all. |
