| 104 | Kirsten Liegmann | I urge you to include in your assessment of this project all stakeholders affected, and then act out of integrity to mitigate and/or compensate those aversely affected in a balanced and fair manner. You are affecting lives and the well-being of several citizens of Ashland. Please do what is right and respectful, and find a win-win solution for this situation. |
| 105 | Lisbeth A. LoPresti | Please do right by this citizen and others impacted by this action. |
| 106 | Marilyn Cole | |
| 107 | James Tarpinian | Emphasis: "Please take responsibility for the financial damages brought upon land owners, whose residential property may be rendered functionally obsolete and financially impaired by this action. " |
| 108 | Joan Bridgit Tyler | I have lived on this land and these issues are true. Sharon Miranda and the other property owners are due compensation for their land that will be rendered undesirable and unsellable due to these actions from the State. |
| 109 | Jody Zonnenschein | It is upon us, as citizens of Ashland, to demand that ODOT do the right thing by those who will be most negatively impacted by this proposed plan. We live in a town of conscious people who can not sit by while this injustice is put into action. The owner of the property most affected deserves at the least to be fairly financially compensated for the loss of value her property will surely suffer. We want to be proud to live in this community, not ashamed of unnecessary injustices perpetrated upon our citizens. Let deceny and honor be your guides. |
| 110 | Carol E. Jokinen | I want to register my opinion AGAINST the proposed Welcome Center south of Ashland on I-5. The safety, pollution, noise and crime issues that the center could provoke seem relevant enough to desist in the construction of a center at this location. |
| 111 | Cynthia Laughery | While I certainly agree with the necessity of public transportation, it is inherently necessary/important to preserve personal property rights and to maintain the scenic quality of spaces around urban areas. I would ask that all options be considered before so many property owners are affected by ODT's plans, not to mention natural waterways and animal preserves.
Thank you, Cynthia Laughery |

| 114 | Gaelyn Larrick | The proposed ODOT project will have a negative impact on the surrounding area. Please reconsider the effects of this project.
Also, I would like to see the land owners most impacted by the development to be given equitable compensation. |

| 116 | Anonymous | i feel the rest area/welcome center is completely unnecessary, considering the rest area just outside of ashland ,to the north is very close. if this proposal goes thru, then odot MUST provide some compensation for the home owners close by. |
| 117 | Kathryn McDaniel | This location is bad for many, many reasons! Please reconsider and move the location. |
| 118 | Linda Thomas | I do not believe there is a need for a rest stop at the proposed site. I believe that someone in charge is trying to spend some money just because it's there.
The city of Ashland does not want to attract run of the mill I5 traffic--we want people who come here as a destination.
I suggest you contact the Oregon state governor and choose a different use for the money. REST STOPS SHOULD NOT BE SO CLOSE TO OUR TOWN!!
Thankyou,
Linda Thomas, RN |

| 121 | Linda J. Cotrufello | It is ridiculous to have a rest stop so close to private residential property! |

| 125 | Susan Kollstedt | If the county continues to build this center knowing the impact it will have on Sharon Miranda, I believe it fair to compensate her for the total loss of her property at market value... |
| 126 | Jeffrey Weissler | |
| 127 | Anna Cassilly | |
| 128 | Rebecca Kapler | the weigh station just down the road off I-5 from this proposed area could very easily be converted to include the information center. and eliminate any need to destroy peoples lives and property |
| 129 | Faye Weisler | |
| 130 | kay Stein | |
| 131 | Keith F. Anderson | |
| 132 | Christopher Iverson | Please do not build this so close to the city. The rest stop should be built further south. It does not make sense to build this rest area so close to residential neighborhoods.
Thank you,
Christopher Iverson |

| 135 | Diana Hartel | I am an Ashland property owner and do not want to see any further landscape blight to our wonderful town. |
| 136 | Meera Censor | |
| 137 | Allen Sayble | The proposed rest area is too close to people's homes. Move it further south please. |

| 139 | will Sears | Use the already existing rest stop on Mt. Ashland, it's already there and one of the most beautiful ones on the entire freeway. Re-open it! |

| 142 | bach-thor | i apose this dot project and support all who would be directly impacted |
| 143 | Levi VanMeter | tourist center will not bring the people into the city which they have to do now... they will pop in and out of the center and not put $ into our community |
| 144 | Suzanna Nadler | |
| 145 | laura pavia | |
| 146 | Alicia Bonnet | Yes I agree with the above. I realize that in better offering a tourist info center may make Ashland more usable.Whatever happenned to the tourist info center that was closed down on Hwy 5 coming into AShland. Why can't that already standing facility be reestablished where it doesn't impact the landowners? Can it be bought from the state or whoever owns it? |
| 147 | Libby VanWyhe | |
| 148 | stuart geltner | |
| 149 | David Wick | The balance of public need and private well being is always important, and all the more critical in these economic times. In this case I strongly urge this ODOT project to be halted and placed elsewhere, or that the property owner at 488 Crowson Road be fully compensated at equitable levels. |
| 150 | Shoshanah Dubiner | The true costs of this ODOT tourist center and rest area are far greater than what is being presented to the public. Should ODOT continue with its project, it must include in its budget the cost of fairly compensating those land owners who will be negatively impacted by the development. |
