| 1930 | Scott | Spencer | We must find a compromise concerning the use of our land resources. There are thousands of family’s that enjoy nature on an OHV. In my years I have never seen anyone walking in the remote regions of the high desert and very few in the more accessible regions.
The American Disability Act tries to guarantee equal access for people with disabilities and in my view that should also extend to Government forest lands and the desert. I currently enjoy hiking and OHV recreation but when the day comes that I am not able to hike to some of the beautiful remote places that I enjoy I would hope that I can still enjoy them on an OHV vehicle.

| 1933 | Anonymous | Anonymous | For three generations my family has enjoyed the trails in the area on OHV's. Historically we have all also respected and appreciated the land as well as others who use this public land. Unfortunately, the architects of this board motion do not share the same respect of others who use the land. This seems quite obviously another case of the few attemptimg to strip away the freedoms of many. The petition clearly asserts the fact that OHV users bring revenues into Kern County. Specifically, if this motion is adopted, responsible OHV users lose the use of the land, the County loses direct revenue, and local businesses lose revenue, which also hurts the County. It's not clear to me how anyone wins in this scenario. Please do not allow this to happen. |

| 1939 | Cory | Buckley | We need to keep fighting for the right to use this area. They, the so called environmentalists of the world, will not stop until all areas are closed. |
| 1940 | Kevin | Harteloo | My family enjoys visiting the Kern/Lake Isabella area, and if not for OHV usage, we would not continue to annually visit the area. Groups such as the Stewards really care about the environment and public land usage, as evidenced by their continued volunteering, tree planting, ect. I do not see the so-called "environmentalist" groups taking the time to help. Responsible OHV use causes no harm to the beautiful area of the Kern, and any petition pertaining to the closure of PUBLIC lands by a small minority of people is not only wrong, it goes against the very fabric of what our country stands for. It is my opinion that any or all matters pertaining to public lands should be settled the American way. Let the good people vote on it! |
| 1941 | Mike | Mor | Dont forget that the fees that WE pay are going to trail maintenance and repair, does anyone eles pay for that beside OHV users ??? |
| 1942 | Marcus | Hvass | As closures are done such as the Clear Creek BLM land in May 1st 2008,it puts a bigger impact on the ones that are still open. This is causing a traffic problem that is becoming dangerous. This is not due to the riders or vehicles, but rather the lack of area to ride as this popular family sport grows. Please stop trying to eliminate OHV enthusiasts from enjoying the public lands. We enjoy the forest and the riding. Without the forest access we only have the riding in crowded SVRA parks. |
