JessicaBrothersArashi is a wonderful part of the Island, it holds a special place in my heart due to the amazing memories I have from that beach. Also the location of the beach is priceless. The amazing blue waters in front of you and the desert landscape behind you would be destroyed by any building. Aruba is a small Island but with huge culture largely based in the beaches and natural beauty. Palm and Eagle beaches are beautiful but do not hold the awe inspiring natural landscapes that Arashi is comprised of. I understand the large amounts of money that must be involved but for anyone to want to destroy a pristine beach is insane because it is one of the last places on Aruba that is not developed.
LewisPerlmutterThe island is being over built and is ruining the quality of life for all people. I come twice a year since 1979 and now come only once a year. Aruba is going to lose its charm that it once had. Government greed is allowing this to happen.
AnonymousAnonymousIlove Aruba, it's such a beautiful clean place it would be a shame to waste it.
JenniferRobertsonI am a home owner in Aruba. It is sad to see all of the construction. I have been coming to Aruba over 20 years, it is building up way too much.
RichardLopezIf the Island gets too busy it will loose its charm and tourist dollars.
ameliapascocelloLast visit to Aruba was in October 2007. After coming here for over 15 years, there's definitely too much development happening. Where are they going to put all of the cars--the roads are the same.

THOMASRUSHThe reason that I found ARUBA appealing was the fact that it was not OVERDEVELOPED. Please do not spoil what is left.

GaryStraitComing for my 7th trip in 16 days. First time was in 1985 and the island was so different then. Would be nice to preserve what's left if we can

ChristinaNazarioAruba is getting very crowded. Definitely not the same anymore and we would hate to see it get worse. Please stop the building - we can go to Miami if we want large crowds and lots of hotels. We love Aruba and want to keep coming, please keep it a tropical paradise and not a metropolis.

AnonymousAnonymousIt is absolutely unbelievable how much this island is over building. Row after row of shops, restaurants and out of control watersports in tents along what was once a beautiful place to relax. So much hassle just to walk along with people wanting your business. No thanks - It costs way too much in airfare to come back home more stressed out than I went.

CarlReuterThe best things here are Arikok NP, The Butterfly Farm, The Ostrich Farm, Natural Pool, Dos Playa, the unspoiled beaches, and so on. Every time I walk through the hi-rise area, I am saddened by the loss of favorite haunts. First Hadicurai, then the park across from Butterfly Farm. Now my favorite snorkel site is threatened. No more "development"!

DavidEisnerGetting too much like the US. Used to like walking around the high rise area, now bumper to bumper people and shops. When we go back to our time share in the low rise it is so quiet and peacefull. Have been going for 15 years and too many changes.

CarolMacKenzieThis is very important. In the fourteen years we have been coming to Aruba we have watched as this beautiful island is becoming North and South America a little more each year. Enough. We just returned from our visit this year and, OMG, the Riu is the last straw...what an abomination.
PieterBarendsen
LorraineMcQueeneyThere is no reason to over-develop the Island. Why not renovate vacated properties instead ? There is more than enough beach front resorts to satisfy even the most "discriminating" of tourists. Leave the natural areas be, please.
StephenTroyKeep some Aruba for Arubans. Stop the destruction of Aruba's natural resources.
AnonymousAnonymousno more building on aruba you will be very sorry you will be ruining something you will never be able to get back
JohnWilliamsAruba is getting cluttered with new developments as Cancun! There are limits to how much of this that the island can cope with. We are all aware of the trouble that has arisen from the influx of foreign workers with the problems that have surfaced. More is not always better!!
AnonymousAnonymousPlease do not change Aruba anymore...What I love is staying at the sunset villas, and having a clear view....I love the quite times and the quiet places...I would not return if this part of the island was built up.
