| 1202 | Robert Lenfestey | I-540 should be paid for as the NCDOT has revenue. The problem with tolls is that it is a regressive tax that only applies to new sections of the road. Tolls will also not be removed once the road is paid for. |
| 1203 | Anonymous | I hate tolls. We pay enough in taxes in NC without toll roads!!! |
| 1204 | Cyneva Dalton-Vazquez | |
| 1205 | James Burke | I strongly oppose making any section of 540 a toll road, especially teh section of 540 from 54 to 55 which is already completed. No political official that votes to allow tolls will be getting my vote in future elections. |

| 1213 | Anonymous | no toll road . The government is deep enough in our pockets and this is just another way to bleed the general public of more money. Government officials get a free ride on everything at our expence. enough is enough. And we thought all the theives were in jail !!!!!! |
| 1214 | Penny Woodard | I travel I 540 every day and with the economy the way it is. Gas prices going up. Now our great Gov Bev Purdue wanting to raise taxes thats just more money going out. Everything keeps going up but the paycheck because the economy will not allow the merchants to provide that luxury of uping the pay. SO NO TOLL. STOP TAXING!!! |
| 1215 | John Woodard | I think the construction should start from 64 bypass at the same time. Complete the loop quicker so more people can benefit from the loop quicker. Like people like me who live in Johnston County and work in Wake.

| 1219 | Jack Whitfield | Recently, there was a piece on WRAL about the possibility of making all of I-540 a toll road. What options have been explored to prevent this? Litigation? Boycotts of proponents businesses? This situation may require an aggressive response. |

| 1234 | Jason Myatt | NC citizens already pay far too much in taxes for roads to allow tolls. |
| 1235 | Dwight A. Whitlock | The concept of applying tolls on the section of 540 that has been previously constructed is in my opinion unethical at this point in time. I also am opposed for toll roads, except when constructed by a private company. North Carolina should not be in the toll road business. |
| 1236 | Timothy Tyler | |
| 1237 | Chris Suich | I protest the proposal to have tolls on the western section of I-540 only.
All I-540 should be treated equally. Either tolls for the entirety or no tolls at all. |

| 1239 | Daniel Stewart |
| 1240 | Anonymous | The towns of Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, and Morrisville have paid for the construction of 540 in Raleigh at the expense of improvements to roads in these communities. It’s time these communities get there return on investment in the local infrastructure. |

This toll should be for all or none.
I vote no tolls for I-540. |
