Anonymous | Anonymous | NC | US | Aside from being a flagrant assault on our personal rights, these stereos are also a proven health detriment to those who are subjected to them. They are also counter to the common well-being and peace.

And everyones wondering why this country morals and respect for human descency is at a loss. | 1911 | Anonymous | Anonymous | NV | US | these boom cars are a public nuisance. it will escalate to violence someday. |
Charles | Miller | WA | US | Thank you for putting this site (and movement) together! This is a huge problem that has not gotten adequate media coverage.
| 1913 | Anonymous | Anonymous | VA | US | Please help us to create positive and effective assistance to stop these aggressive and selfish abusers of excessively loud car boom base stereos. They are invading our homes and personal space even from hundreds of feet away. They are robbing us of our privacy, our simple comforts in our home and our peace of mind. Most of these abusers are cruel, aggressive and uncooperative when kindly asked to stop and turn off the loud base. Our local government seemingly can do little unless the abuser is caught in the act. Even one second of the boom sound is an invasion. Please help us guard against this sound pollution.
Thank you. |
RICHARD | AFRAND | NV | US | Playing of loud THUMPING music is an act of criminal "BATTERY" and should be punishable like other acts of "BATTERY".
Anonymous | Anonymous | LA | US | I live in a place that would otherwise be very peaceful without the losers that cruise past all hours day and night with their bass rattling my windows.

Anonymous | Anonymous | KY | US | I am sick of it. These stupid retards are causing pictures to fall off my walls.
kate | deal | CA | US | the people who blast their bass should have their licenses revoked. They are using cars as weapons, which do unbelievable damage, from causing severe headaches and ear pain to disturbing the peace.
David | Currie | GA | US | We need to band together and end this plague once and for all!!!
Teena | Ashley | GA | US |
Jean-Luc | LO CICERO | OH | | The basses, especially subwoofer generated, are making me (and others) physically sick. The sound is very annoying, but the vibration is way worse. And there is no time of day or night we can be free of the boom cars as it is. Please do something about this nuisance and health hazard. Thank you.

William | Buttrey | CA | US | I am under audio assault in my neighborhood and all along my one-hour commute. Boomers have been shown to be incapable of common courtesy and need to be stopped for so regularly disturbing the peace.
William | Duncan | WA | US | I live on a heavy traffic road. These idiots drive by at all hours with the boom volumes cranked to the max. I become nauseated & very stressed when exposed to these high sub woofer levels. I also have obnoxious neighbors who crank up their stereo at any & all hours partying. I have double pane windows & the base level rattles the glass. I have called the local police many times. They respond to my calls & address these people at 3 & 4 AM, they turn it off & call me after the police have left & appoligize & state it will not happen again. I have been putting up with this for several years.
Anonymous | Anonymous | OH | US | I live at an intersection, so the boom cars are stopped right by my home every day-- sometimes as often as every two minutes. After a couple years, it has gotten to the point that the high intensity, low frequency thumps of boom cars makes me physically ill, sometimes for several days. The lady downstairs died of heart failure less than two months after moving here, and it is possible that the cause was boom noise. I hesitate to mention this because I know that it delights the morons who have these cars and use them as weapons. We have worked with the police and city hall for well over a year, but the worst offenders are still pulling up in our parking lot specifically to blast us-- an activity they and their friends started after we approached them in the traffic and asked them to turn down their sound systems. I believe that these people should be prosecuted for assult with a deadly weapon.

Anotinia | Santiago | NJ | US | I have heard enough people complain about the loud music emitted by these booming cars, yet not one has mentioned the following. I recall my boyfriend using a set of headphones in the seventies to listen to his music as loud as he desired. The police gave him a citation for not being able to hear in an emergency. Imagine that! OK, It seems to me that incosiderate people who play these loud boom sounds not only endanger their selves, but also any pedestrian or driver of a vehicle distracted by this noise. Sometimes it is urgent that I hear my children crying but I am at the mercy of these noise makers. If this noise existed at the White House, it would compromise security. Are we less in the community? Did the law change without notice to allow this noise to persist and cause a violation of one of our rights? If we conduct a survey and ask how the health of people are affected by this noise and how this loud noise may keep someone from communication in an emergency? I am sure that the ball will start rolling in the right direction to combat this issue.
Michael | Roullier | MI | US | Why are there so many stupid people out there that insist on having these things.
Anonymous | Anonymous | CA | US | Please stop the bass. It is way past ridiculous now.

Sean | Matt | FL | US | "Boom Cars" are a completely useless piece of machinery, are they intending to ruin the lives of other drivers around them?
jason | kalfian | RI | US |
| 1937 | Kristofer | Hogg | NY | US | Boom Cars should not be impounded, they should be outright forfeited, confiscated, as surely as if it were a drug sting, RICO investigation.
These people are sociopaths. |
Anonymous | Anonymous | MI | US |
Maria | Ragland | CA | US | This has to stop! I have been wondering why is this even legal. People can use the" right to expression" to overrule others "right to peace". This type of noise is both physically and emotionally damaging. No one should have to put up with this.
Anonymous | Anonymous | VA | US |
Anonymous | Anonymous | NY | US | I have called 311 hundreds of times over the last 8 years. Nothing ever changes, and if you politely ask the person/people with these loud cars to lower the volume they laugh, turn it up, and fight with you, doing all they can to "control" the space they have selfishly taken advantage of with their invasive sound. Making laws against boom cars does not discriminate against people, it provides a clear definition of peace.
Raymond | Wood | MO | US | These are selfish inconsiderate people with no regard for the laws for peace and quiet.

John | Pesack | FL | US | Our neighborhood used to be very peaceful until a few years ago when the boom car owners moved in. This petition is a great idea. Somehow the entire culture must be changed to recognize that boom cars are more than just an annoyance.
