This is not about the music being played (I have seen senior men thumping their country music and an older woman with her 1-2 year old grandchild thumping her music)or the type of people seen in the vehicle. This is now about quality of life. Those of us who do wish to get a full night's sleep, and not be awakened or kept awake by an inconsiderate neighbor, who is cranking their system from 3:25 am to 4:30 am, for example, have the "right" to live in peace and quiet, just as the person who purchased the system has the "right" to play it. Let's make it a neighborhood issue. Let's make it a "peace and quiet" in our own homes issue. Let's keep this noise out of our NEIGHBORHOODS! I don't advocate the use of these systems in any situation, whether on a public street or on private property, but it's no longer just a nuisance to everyone involved, including the person(s) inside the vehicle. This is a HEALTH HAZARD, which can severly reduce one's quality of life. Please, please keep this health hazard out of our neighborhoods! Driving through a neighborhood in your vehicle is different than thumping your system out in front of your house for minutes or hours at a time, although both are inconsiderate and rude. Everyone deserves the "right" to quality of life! |
