| 55 | Don & Jean Bradshaw | Before any water pumped from the Great Basin Aquafir, Los Vegas has to do a lot more in conservation. Water from the Great Basin should not be diverted in any event. |

| 67 | Delaine Spilsbury | This project to assist growth in Las Vegas will create a giant dust bowl the size of the State of Nevada. Does the world really need more Las Vegas Casinos at this huge cost to our health? |

| 70 | Brian Morris | As a state and as a nation we are rapidly losing the moral authority to tell developing countries like China and India to not make the same mistakes we did, simply because we keep making them. Let's stop the cycle, please. |

| 72 | Grace Blaylock | When are we going to stop favoring the casinos in detriment of the rest of the population and habitat ?
I absolutely opoxe this proposal.

| 73 | Michael K Anderson, PE SE | This project goes against every lesson learned during the past hundred years. It the costs are counted honestly, and weighed against the dubious benefits, putting a halt to this project is a no brainer. |
| 74 | Philip Moore | We need to be looking for options to develop a sustainable base of development in Las Vegas. Unfettered growth can not continue. |

Do not export life-giving water to Las Vegas. |

| 83 | Ross W. Smith, PhD | THE GREATER GOOD?
How did Owens Valley appear
Before Los Angles took the water?
Looking now at the parched valley
My mind can not conceive of verdant orchards
And neat farm houses with the High Sierra
Escarpment as a backdrop imposing over the Valley
While to the East the dry Inyo and White Mountains
Added mystery to the deep valley
The Sierra Nevada is still gloriously
As are the mountains to the East
But now the dry valley appears desolate
As alkali and dust clouds rise into the atmosphere
From now dry Owens Lake and I can not imagine
The steam powered ship that took ore across the lake
From mines in the Inyo Mountains
What havoc has man created in his rush
To build a city in a dry valley with not enough water
Is the world better for a Greater Los Angeles?
Where landslides and fires are present every year
And choking smog lies heavy on the valley
Can we learn from the Los Angles experience?
Yet even now the expanding desert metropolis
Of Las Vegas eyes water from
Limestone aquifers in Eastern Nevada
Are White Pine and Lincoln Counties to be sacrificed
For the hedonism of Las Vegas?
Will drying the counties
For Las Vegas be worth such destruction
Is Las Vegas worth the counties’ sacrifice?
Are cities the ultimate of human endeavor?
And why?
Yet many are those who love Los Angeles
And Las Vegas and fight for water and the cities. |

| 86 | Cara Lee Haraden | When our country is facing the worst drought conditions they've seen in decades I don't feel comfortable with them exporting our water. |

| 88 | carol brown | This grab for water is ridiculous, it will impact ranchers, farmers, and a very important wildlife perserve. Looks like developers are trying to line their pockets at the expense of the natives of Nevada and Utah. This is ridiculous and I hope it can be stopped. What's wrong with making the water they already have in Las Vegas go further through conservation measures? |

Than you |
| 96 | Christy Fermoile | Please implore common sense and reasoning in making these types of decisions. Even if there is money to be made, the line has to be drawn somewhere to preserve some of the natural gifts this planet has given us. |

| 100 | Emma Kay Wheeler | My husband, Darwin C. Wheeler is a 4th generation farmer/rancher in Garrison - Snake Valley. Darwin and his son, Chris, continue to farm because they love this way of life. If Las Vegas is successful in taking the water they are seeking from Snake Valley it will be the end of our way of life!
Chris is 5th generation on the farm. |
