Don't change Kadapa's name

The petition

The decision by the Andhra Pradesh Govt to change the Kadapa district name is disgraceful, not acceptable. Kadapa got it's name because of being the "Gadapa" for pilgrims visiting Tirumala. The Temple pilgrims used to (and some still) visit is still there flooded with people on occassions. Much as I/we would like to respect this decision, even Late Dr.Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy would'nt have approved this, to change the name of his beloved district. This is not the way to respect the Late leader from Kadapa.

So please do not change Kadapa's name. Do something else to commemmorate Y S R'a legacy and service towards poor and the farmers etc., like have a much developed airport in Kadapa (thus increasing employment and business in the district) and develop Kadapa more what the Late Leader would have wanted. “Kadapa is a corruption of Gadapa, meaning the place where our feet fall before we reach the Lord’s abode (Tirumala). If you remove Kadapa, this historical significance will be lost”. So, please consider our request.
