| 101 | Michael Adler | We need to renovate our existing houses with solar water heaters, insulation, efficient appliances, and put up solar pannels on our roofs and parking lots. Building more fossil generation capacity to fuel more unsusainable gowth of unsustainable suburbs is in the opposite direction of where we need to go.
Unsustainable is not just some trendy curse word. It means CAN NOT BE SUSTAINED. What part of that do you not understand. |

| 104 | Roberto Chamizo | PLEASE, don't let this CRIMINAL plant be built. The Everglades are completely unique! There is no other place on the entire planet with this type of biodiverse ecosystem. We have already pushed the everglades far enough! This power plant would completely DEVASTATE the Everglades beyong the point of repair... please, please don't let this happen! |
| 105 | Stacia Arvan | PLEASE SAVE THE EVERGLADES!!!! DON'T BUILD YOUR POWER PLANT HERE!!!! |
| 106 | Babette Duke | I am a mother of 3...my two youngest have been diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficency that can manifest itself into COPD, emphysema, cirrosis. This is the almost the worst thing that could happen in our neighborhood, not to mention the everglades, the earth. |
| 107 | James Duke | |
| 108 | ALEXANDRIA JOHNSON | I can not belive this. i am fourteen years old and unfortunately have alpha 1 which if i exposed to too much of these harmful gases my liver will fail. We will have to move if they decide to make this life killer. please stop this!!!! |

| 127 | Francene McClintock | Protect the Everglades! No more fossil fuels - move on to carbon neutral biofuels. |
| 128 | Carolyn 'Jo Jo' Brashears | Dear Elected Officials - STOP THIS MADNESS! Ask us, the people, for help. Bet we can define financially viable alternatives. GIve us a chance for a change. |
| 129 | Arlene Allen | If the County agrees to build the FPL West County Energy Center, a facility that uses 6.5 billion gallons of water, while Lake Okeechobee is below level and the entire area is suffering from a severe water shortage it would demonstrate the need to curtail developer greed. A decision to go forward will be at the expense of the fragile Everglades environment and, the Florida Tourism industry.
It's not a matter of moving the facility out of sight. Pollutants will still be carried across Florida to the detriment of our dwindling water supply.. |
| 130 | Carmen Kunze | |
| 131 | Kristen Walberg | I have friends who work at Seminole Ridge High School, and I will worry every school day that they are in danger if this center is built. It was only a month ago that a rock cutting factory blew up. Also, tortoises are awesome. |
| 132 | Arlene Allen | Our children and all the current residents in the Existing communities across the state will be forced to carry the burden for this potential new development. In addition to higher taxation, more importantly are the serious health impacts that will result from the added air and water pollution that will be created including: asthma and other lung conditions, birth defects, etc. This is just too expensive a price to ask Florida's citizens to pay.
There are other alternatives that will not be so destructive. Think of the future. |
| 133 | Ivan Richman | when will all the pollution stop? We need to stop the pollution near us so that this movement to stop pollution will gain momentum and stop pollution in other areas, too! We start here...... NO MORE POLLUTION! STOP NOW! |
| 134 | Gabrielle Marksz | We must revoke this plant. I live in Wellington and am an FPL customer. I am devestated that this is being build in our backyard! What happened to clean energy? What a crime you are commiting against us and nature. Please revoke this plant~! |
| 135 | William Kraverath | I live in Wellington and was shocked to find this in our backyard. It must be revoked~! I think we all need to go back out there in mass groups and protest again. STOP the MADDNESS NOW!!!! |
| 136 | Morgan Cooney | Land developers are killing our state along with all the animals, plants, and beautiful areas like the Keys, the Glades, and beaches. We need to stop this development before it is too late. |
