When the city was just making the road improvements-I could see the difference in the amount of birds present, due to extra noise and people. This open space is one a few places in Virginia Beach that make this area a great place to live .One just has drive down Shore Drive and look between the Bridge and Great Neck Rd. to see what a mess it could become. I have lived here over 50 yrs. and have shared and enjoyed the open areas the city and state have set aside more than any thing that has been built here.We need to protect the areas that make this city great. |

| 984 | I my opinion, this project is unnecessary. The population on Shore Drive is currently at capacity. Many places remain vacant. Cluttering more residences will put a strain on fragile infrastructure, roads, challenge traffic situations and the trickle effect is enormous besides destroying precious wetlands. Why does our City Management think of the builders first, not the residents who currently pay high taxes and have less benefits for the return of their own investment? There is truly no need for this construction....at all! |
