| 351 | Tara Siudy | Please don't allow downtown New Paltz to disappear. Kingston and Poughkeepsie are 15 minutes away. Who can actually justify a mall like this being built? Shame on them! |

| 358 | Andrea Russo | Here is a quote from a story on today's Weekend Edition on NPR: "Starbucks' retail woes may indicate a larger slump in the retail sector. The coffee chain announced this week that it's closing about 600 stores, but it's not the only chain slimming down to meet hard economic times." - Now is not the time for MORE retail stores in New Paltz - we need to spend less but spend "locally" to support our community businesses in the hard times to come. |

| 365 | Leslie Warren | The charm of New Paltz lies within the fact that it is NOT overrun by big businesses. I do not support strip malls in New Paltz! |
| 366 | Ellen Mosen James | Crossroads is not the kind of growth New Paltz needs. It's a shame because we could benefit from some mixed-income, mixed use green building in keeping with the character of the town. This isn't it ! The plan looks like a mall and a money drain and it doesn't look fixable. Please do not approve it. |
| 367 | Dolores Quiles | We need to stop building without thinking of the long term effects. We also must build green buildings not shopping malls. Providing mass transit to existing stores that are within 1/2 hour of New Paltz instead of creating strip malls will save our community. |

| 379 | Travis Kelley | The proposed plan would absolutely destroy New Paltz's unique small-town charm that I have grown to love. My hometown will disappear forever into the shadows of memory and be replaced by a corporate-driven, money-hungry, industrialized town. Please preserve my hometown and oppose this proposition! |

| 381 | Erik Goedhart | I have only been a resident of New Paltz for 2 years, but have been frequenting this town for the better part of 8 years for the purpose of outdoor activities and sharing in a small community. I saved my money and was capable of finding an affordable place to rent in a beautiful house, in the village. I encourage others to do the same so as to eliminate the need for more townhouses and apartment style housing. Traffic, strip malls, environmental impact, aesthetic appeal- Woodbury Commons is not too much furhter away. Save the shopping for those who have nothing better to do with their money. Save the town for those of us who want to live quietly and enjoy the outdoors without the need for more malls and parking lots. |
| 382 | Matthew K. Maley | It is a fact that we have already entered an era of increasing periods of water shortages and droughts throughout the world. There are already commercial real estate signs further down rt.299 on existing wetlands. We cannot sacrifice our future for a development that will make a select few rich while potentially compromising the downtown LOCAL businesses and a tremendous WATER SUPPLY. WATER...this is about our life as a community, not another Ruby Tuesdays! Local natural resources are becoming more valuable than any development, so we better get serious and save what we can....while we still can. |
| 383 | Matthew Dunn | |
| 384 | Nancy DeVita | It is no longer a solution to try and boost the economy by building more in hopes of selling more. THERE IS NO MORE.... there is no more money in this time of rising gas prices and no fuel alternatives; there is no more clean air contributers when the limited number of trees are leveled.
We need to change our old ways, or we shall perish as a race. Be the creators! |

| 394 | Dakota Pruiss | SUNY New Paltz was on a college list for best SMALL TOWN College charm. Along with the town none of that fits into big business.
Don't destroy this beautiful serenity for big business!!!!!! |
| 395 | Bruce Consiglio | |
| 396 | Beth McDonald | This proposal is oversized and out of character with our town. It is obviously designed to reap maximum profits for the developer ,who will then walk away with his money and leave the taxpayersof New Paltz to pay for the devastation he leaves behind. I believe this project will have a permenant negative impact on our downtown economy, cause traffic snarls beyond anything we've seen before, pollute our environment, and increase our taxes due to the municipal services that it will demand. This is absolutely the wrong type of development for New Paltz! |

| 400 | scott touri | i live in the village and am against the crossroads development. our infrastucture, economy, and sense of community cannot support it. i also oppose victorian square on south manheim blvd. across from the college. it includes 120- 2 bedrooms units, 2-3 stories tall is ridiculous with todays economy. |
