| 251 | Kevin McEvoy | The time for public comment should be extended on this. The NYS DEC website indicates it ends 7-11-08.
This is ridiculously short for a project of this magnitude.
Our written comments will follow. |
| 252 | cindy dern | please keep this area free of this type of commercial building. |

| 254 | Susan Karl | a mall in New Paltz is a horrendous idea--will create trafffic nightmare |

| 259 | Ellen Marshall | I strongly oppose this project . New Paltz is a unique town and it would be aversely affected by a shopping mall such as the one deemed in this plan. The traffic is already problematic and dangerous on Route 299 and there are valuable wetalands which would be affected. |
| 260 | Gene Fischer | I strongly oppose this project |

| 262 | Anonymous | Please, please don't do this to New Paltz. We are unique! Please help us stay that way. |
| 263 | Michelle Hersh | |
| 264 | Norma Swerdloff | As a frequent visitor to New Paltz I am very upset
at the prospect of this proposed monstrosity.
New Paltz has always been a town of peace, beauty, tranquility. Nature as it should be.
Do not destroy this. |
| 265 | James Yastion | This type of large scale development must be stopped. The rural and unique character of our town is at risk. We don't want to become like countless other former rural areas afflicted by generic chain stores and overdevelopment. Open space is a resource growing more scarce: once it is lost by development, there is no reversing it. The Planning Board should take to heart the many Town residents who oppose this project and will have to live with it rather than the desires of the few who may not even live here and will be no doubt lining their pockets with profits after the development is done. |

| 281 | Callie Hershey | Aerial photos and just plain old observation reveal much of the property in question to be wetlands, which, in these increased years of flooding(among many other reasons), should never, ever be developed. |
| 282 | Catherine Joyner | What about the quality of air? I live on 21 south ohioville rd with a child with severe respitory problems---who is going to test the air? |
| 283 | Hyman M. Gold, M.D. | While I am not a resident of New Paltz, I visit the town regularly to visit my niece and her family, who live on Wawarsing Road. I agree with the sentiments of this petiition and request thet you refuse or radically revise the plans for the mall. |

| 295 | Catherine Joyner | I listened to all the comments at the last meeting, one point I didnt hear mention was air quality. I moved into my house ten years ago with sick children, knowing NP stand. If this major huge developement is passed, who is going to guarentee the air quality? Who is going to promise me that I wont lose another child due to the smog and polution this project is going to impose on all New Paltz residents???? |
| 296 | Hermann Moratz | |
| 297 | Sophie Halpern | Anyone who knows a thing about the true New Paltz knows that this idea is completely against what makes our town as beautiful and specially unique as it really is. |
| 298 | Lucien Swerdloff | I am opposed to the degradation of the environment
by the construction of an energy intensive, unsustainable, unnecessary, inefficient, visually
unpleasing big box, capitalistic manifestation of all
that is contrary to the life style that we all love and cherish in New Paltz. |
