In the World of Warcraft, the Night Elf race is able to camoflauge themselves with their natural environment. That ability is known as Shadowmeld. The natural environment of the Night Elf race, in the World of Warcraft, is the realm of Ashenvale. Ashenvale is a realm different than others, with many flourishing forests, and shrubbery all throughout. It gives the realm a place of constant dimness, and shadow.
The Night Elf race has a color of skin that is not that of humans. They have anywhere from tealish to purplish skin, which has obviously been adapted through living in Ashenvale forest throughout many Centuries. This adaptation is what allows them to Shadowmeld with their surroundings.
The developers of Blizzard have decided to allow the Night Elf race to Shadowmeld in other areas, such as the desert, or the mountains, where the terrain is far from that of their homeland. My suggestion is that the Night Elf race be nerfed furthermore, to allow them only to use shadowmeld either in a shadow (from a building, or large tree, for example) or within their homeland of Azshara.
In closing, I believe that the Night Elf race needs to depend more on their other abilities when in places other than their homeland. If they so choose to venture out into other lands, then they must face the consequences of so. |
