The fact is that human beings have consumed alcohol since prehistoric times. It's been a part of daily life for human beings in nearly every major civilization for thousands of years.
Alcohol in moderation has many health benefits.
It's also hard to argue that one of our basic instincts as human beings is to achieve pleasure, through numerous ways, such as drinking alcohol. Sure, not everybody likes to drink, but not everybody likes to have sex, and if you don't think that that's a natural part of the human existence, then you are stupid as hell.
In conclusion, alcohol is here to stay, so leave me in peace to enjoy my drink.
