OmerAzizFLUSPlease put an end to this desease that is destroying our societies. As far as I see it, drinking is the root cause of all the mishap is taking place in our world.
AnonymousAnonymousITS PEOPLE LIKE THIS WHO CREATE A PROBLEM! THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE ALCOHOL... BUT WITH THE PERSON WHO DRINKS IT!!!! I HAVE A FEW BEERS OCCASIONALLY AND LOVE THEM... I WOULDNT WANT TO LOSE MY BEER!
AnonymousAnonymousTXUSFirst off, let me say that I am not a neoconservative nutjob. I am extremely far to the left on just about every issue - except this one. I have never experienced death due to the evils of alcohol, though I have seen what it does to people and do not wish to see any more. My mother's family has a bit of a history of addiction to various substances. My aunt recently lost her job of many years due to about two years of alcohol abuse, although, thank God, she is recovering now, has another job, and is doing much better. I personally feel that my own mother is on that path also, something that I hope desperately I am incorrect about. My grandmother on my mom's side, a former alcoholic and smoker, has been fully recovered for many years from the aforementioned illnesses, and is just about my only ally, if you will, on that side of the family. In my short life, I have seen enough of alcohol. I am sick and tired of it. I am sick of people being someone other than themselves until they wake up in the morning. I am sick of special moments in time being lost in the minds of some of the ones that they were shared with. Mostly, I am sick of alcohol related deaths. Alcohol is a poison, just as poisonous if not more than any drug that you would but illegally on the black market. Unfortunately, it has gained a complete acceptance in the modern media, and people don't seem to care about it any more. It is treated as something that everyone does, and only outcasts don't. I agree with posts prior to my own, that the first step is to lock down on all alcohol advertising, particularly on the internet and on television. Personally, as a Christian as well, it is troubling to me to see the human body destroyed by mind-altering substances for the sake of a (very) temporary euphoria. My main concern against alcohol, however, comes not from being a Christian, nor a liberal Democrat, nor any other label you could use on me. As a human, I look out and see the other humans on the planet destroying themselves with alcohol. I look out and see people dying every single say from alcohol. It is time for that to stop.

StacieBarrettAZUSOh my goodness, you people are insane..Ban alcohol?? I drink responsibly..While you're at it, lets "ban" all old people, cuz most of them can't drive. You are an absolute mental case. Don't try and take away my freedom of choice. I like alcohol and CHOOSE to drink safely in the privacy of my own home, or at a kick ass bar as long as someone else is driving!!

ChrisLambertAUI'm suprised any person takes this load of crap seriously, there is nothing better than alcohol. Maybe I'll go get drunk right now and find one of the wowsers on this page to rape, then drive my car home blind drunk and run over another one of these wowsers, shoot my family then pass out. When I get up in the morning I'll do it again. Watch out wowser bitches i AM COMING to rape you up the ass, especially the women. Hope your assholes are tight, you'll no longer be an ass virgin after tonight. Dirty wowser fuckers

AnonymousAnonymousUSAlcohol cause my father to be abusive, neglectful, have major depression, anxiety, and put our family in debt because of his addiction. This is a man made drug that SHOULD be illegal.

JasenHylbertWIUSI think something can be learned in looking at the way pro alcohol people comment. They show no knowledge, no respect, and no grammar. Nobody can tell me that making alcohol illegal today wouldn't deccimate alcohol consumption. A black market could never rival the massive production of alcohol that is happenning today. In modern society people would not have the initiative to make home brews, nor the tolerance of its bad taste. Illegalize alcohol for our highway safety, for our abused children, for our healthcare system, for our rational thought.
JulieEnglishCAUSCan you think of anything positive that alcohol has done for us? Besides making your pain go away for the moment (so drunks think)... ALCOHOL KILLS! Kills innocent victims....
AnonymousAnonymousVAUSThe sooner the better.
CoryRoyceNYUSI agree with you, totally and completly. As a Christian I have been trying to find a way to ban alchohol.God bless you in your efforts.

SebastianConstantineFuck you pussies and your alcohol, face it: it's the worst drug a person can consume. And to Lambert, alcohol slows you down like shit, Cocaine speeds me up, as well as the endless power PCP gives to its users. I would destroy you, simply put if you were drunk. Dont believe me? I have never seen a drunk punch through a windshield, how myself have after using opiates.
AnonymousAnonymousKYUSHusband, had close Aunt, Uncle, wife of cousin, and their infant child all killed by drunken driver. Alcohol is also dangerous to the user's health and the surrounding people and their property.

KyleGUTUSSee where I'm from and yes I'm a Mormon. Now, with that established, I say this. Your efforts to ban alcohol are seriously misguided. You think by forcing people to your way of thinking will solve problems, not so, Communism tried this and failed miserably. Your cause is a noble one but you are choosing to fight on a front at which you cannot win. Education and good moral judgment is what we should pass on to our children so they may make sound decisions through life. I grew up with an alcoholic father and I did not follow in his footsteps because I “choose” not too. We all have a choice in life, we “choose” to drive drunk, we “choose” to get high while watching our children, we “choose” to call in sick to work, we “choose” to gamble, we “choose” to do many things in life that are considered wrong or cause harm if not done in moderation. Our society is breaking down and what you are trying to do is treat a symptom and not the cause of the problem. Those of you that call yourselves Christians are forgetting that God gives us free agency to make our own choices in life. We suffer whatever consequences may come our way due to our “own” actions. This is how we learn in life, how we grow and become better people. If we force people to be a certain way then we follow the path of Satan. This was his plan, to force people to worship God and this is why he was cast out of Heaven. I’m am sorry to hear about those that have lost loved ones and it saddens me even more to hear you blame a substance or an object for the loss. Death is a normal part of life and the only questions are “when” and “how” it will happen. The four-year-old child that gets killed by a drunk driver is tragic and so is the life of the person driving the car. What events in the driver’s life led up to that moment? These are the things that we should be focusing on and not the symptoms. If you want to stop alcoholism then start by attacking the cause for addictive behaviors, any professional will tell you this. If you ban alcohol then you will have to ban any substance or object of obsession. We would ban ourselves right out of existence! Again, I believe the reasons for your cause is just and I must repeat they are misguided. “Saving the world starts by pointing your finger in the mirror”…….KRG Thank you.
