rachael Meikle | Really support the idea of developing cycling alternatives concurrently with car/transport . Develop public transport alternatives that encourage bikes- racks on buses, room for bikes on trains.

Chris Olson | I support all moves to support public transport especially cycling on public roads. The roading development specifically for cars in NZ is absurb and a rediculous cost to the taxpayer. Encouragement of public transport and cycling / walking is a far better focus.

| 3459 | Anonymous | Btter education of non cyclists so they understand the rights of a cyclist and the impact of driver actions etc.
Many shared pedestrians and cycle lanes (eg Auckland waterfront) is populated by people who no understanding that it is a cycle way. These same people are probably abusive of cyclists on the road.... |
Brendon Gilchrist | NZ drivers are becoming worse every day and nothing is been done about it the police dont do jack all, people driving habbits are becoming worse and even some regions dont even care about cyclest and there safety, i emailed the wellington counciel months before the 2 deaths and they said it is better to improve the roads then to put signs up to look out for cyclest how pathetic is lower hutt and upper hutt council now, there have been many cycliong deaths in wellington and accidents but the council prefers to make the roads better for the caror truck drivers but dont care about the cyclest, it is almost seems that they want to ban cycling.

Mike Avery | Putting appropriate shoulders on roads would go a long way. Often there are none or the shoulder is rough, littered, has vibration strips or other obstructions.
Martin Love | Three near misses at intersections in the last two years, when I have been cycling.
H Carpentier |
Louise Mainvil | Petition needs to be sent to current government ministers.
Jenny Marshall | Strongly agree to all of the above.
Mark Smith | We have a lot of catching up to do after years of car-centric infrastructure. Every road improvement project should incorporate the inclusion of cycle infrastructure.
