Barbara Upton | The majority of Americans want all the troops to come home, the Iraqis want us to leave... why do we continue to have our young people maimed and killed there? Bring them home- and start with the Guard!

tarak Kauff | Of course we all are sick of sending troops to an illegal, immoral war and it has to be stopped. Let NY State take the first step!

Krzysztof Matejkowski | I am a US Army veteran. As we go and fight wars it would be good to know that the national guard is back home in case something happens to the people we leave behind.
Martha Drummer | We need to help ourselves before we can be available to help others. If the state/country is weakened or not prepared the rest of the world is at risk also.

Donald Sika | I want to see all New York State troops come home. The National Guard is under the direct control of the Governer of New York State, not the President.
Pamela Boyd | Enough is enough. Bring our heroic men and women home.... now....
michael c dunford | as a viet nam veteran and father of 2 in the military both are oef and oif veterans, let's do these "wars" the proper way.bring home the national guards and bring back the draft. fire the "private contractors".tax industry like we did in ww2.
Fred Nagel | There is no legal basis for sending the National Guard to Iraq. Bring them home, for their sake and for the sake of a government defined by the rule of law.

Aaron Engelman | The AUMF against Iraq relies wholly on the idea that the invasion was necessary to secure the safety of our country. Now the troops are cleaning up the mess and trying to holding Iraq together. If Iraq was a physical threat to this country, it is no longer; Hurricane Katrina demonstrated the present dangers to our shores. Flooding here in New York has become severe in recent years, and it is not the National Guard's responsibility to desert us for a failed foreign policy.

rachel wieland | enough wasting lives. we have an environmental problem and a humanity problem. leave our troops here so we can get our own home in order. i seen enough of my students die in the past few years. cease this madness.
jim ryan | no more arrogance or deception getting us into war.no more deaths, at the hands of arm chair warriors.

michael mangino | To say that all of this is an outrage what is happening to our National Guard would be a polite response. It's time to bring all the troops home. The Guard was designed for the protection of the home land.To help with disastrous here in America. Not to fuel a war that is by all evidence illegal
Frank Cerasuolo | The republic continues t be dismantled by the folks in DC.
Anita Brandariz | The National Guard should not be treateedas regular army. They are meant to serve within the 50 states not on foreign lands. The National Guard are needed here, now.
Wayne Stinson |
irene brothers | this is just one more national disgrace. our children engaged in the occupation of a sovereign country when they signed up to protect their own!
