Rudy Homiak | It's a disgrace that these companies are buying up all of the vintage and modern game worn equipment and destroying them to make meaningless sportscards.
Viktor Andersson | Yes please, this is a shame and the jerseys deserve better!
Larry Evans | Don't cut them up, they look better when you can see the whole thing, not a postage stamp size piece.

craig burt | The butchering of these historical jerseys must stop. Our rich sport risks losing the ability to track very important historical moments in our sport.
steve | Disgusting. Leave the jerseys as they are! Whats next to get cut up? How exciting is a 1inchx 1inch square piece of cloth? What genius started this in the first place?
Kevin Hackett |
Paul Mallard | i too am tired of this senseless destruction.. those cards are, and will always be worthless.
Joe McCullough | This is a true and correct statement. The cut up jerseys can not be replaced ever.

Anonymous | I never got the idea of they would do that. What they should do is have some win they whole jersey or what ever they were goin to cut up. Can you imagine if they did this with art. "Oh look I got a chip from the statue of David's shoulder"

Rob Poston | I 100% agree! It is sickening that these pieces of sports history are dissected for individual sale! Where does it end? Why not cut up a classic car so that some collector can have a part hanging on his garage wall? Why not cut up Mount Vernon for a history buff to display in his living room? For that matter, why not cut up the bodies of past presidents and stick the parts in a jar for profit? A game jersey is not a small swatch of memories, a game jersey is the number on the back that the fans in the stands see. A game jersey is the stain of blood that came from the "big fight". A game jersey is the puck mark where the goalie made the big save. A game jersey is to be appreciated for all of the memories that the entire jersey holds. A piece of sports history that can be appreciated from father to son. Who wants to show their child a 4X6" piece of mesh and try to "remember the good times"? I agree, save these pieces of sports history!
