IVF Should be Made Available on the NHS

It is about time it was made possible for anyone to have a child. There are so many deserving families out there who cannot concieve. Yes adoption is an option, but why should we deny them the chance to carry their own baby?

Each year many thousands of women terminate pregnancies for a variety of reasons, all of these women have the option of being treated on the NHS, they can have the operation for free.

But if a couple could not concieve they stand to spend thousands to make their dreams come true. A small minority of these couples may be able to get funding from the NHS, but many do not.

Why should this be allowed to continue?
Why deny them their happiness?
Why not help them?

This petition will be presented to 10 Downing Street on the 3rd January 2006.

It is my aim to get IVF treatment available on the NHS, where is should be!

My name is Toni Greenaway, I am a mother of 3.

I have been in touch with parents around the globe who have struggled to concieve and paid extortionate amounts for the chance to carry a child.

I want to change this.

BUT

I am but one voice, it will take more than me alone to make a change.
