David D | I dont even live in NC but out rights in California have been taken away for certain exotic reptiles and i hate it
Raymond Shaw | Punish the guilty (neglegent) owners individually, not the residents of the state!

Lorrie Donovan | My children are able to learn about, care for and respect exotics because we ARE able to keep them in North Carolina right now. Please do not take away this invaluble experience for them that they would not otherwise have in a banned exotic state. Zoos are great, but nothing beats a one-on-one day-to-day experience with an exotic.
Shaun M Smith | This is prejudice against a persons choice of pets.
Heather D Smith | As a soldier I stand for our freedoms
Tamela Hedgpeth | I am a bird owner. I have a very large Catalina Macaw, named MoMo. I believe that laws like these are born out of ignorance, and not an actual need to protect the public. Far more people are injured every year buy farm animals than exotic pets, but you don’t see them passing any laws banning goats, pigs, and cows. Knowing full well that my bird bights, (and is capable of doing significant damage) I take her to schools in order to teach children about responsible cohabitation, and responsible care for animals. All animals will bight or defend themselves. Responsible pet owners can have there exotic pet for a life time and never have any insolence of loss of life or limb.

Dean Allen Aamodt | I served as an Animal Control Officer for ten years in North Carolina and never came upon exotic reptiles that posed a danger as a whole for the majority of the public, I encountered many pet reptiles through out my ten years as an ACO, I belive that proper husbandry and education is more nessasary than a complete ban on exotic reptiles. This legislation I do belive should include large carnivors (large cats, bears, wolfs), exotic in nature not already covered by Federal and State laws. I observed many terrible encounters by the "quote" neighbors sweet pet cocker spaniel or Labrador Retriever, these animals pose much more of a threat to public saftey than exotic reptiles.

John crosby | Don't take away our freedoms because of irresponsible people!! Reptiles are mostly harmless and great pets for those with little space or that have dander allergies

Jason McClain | Don't spam me please.
Chris Jones | I feel that this (like most exotics legislation) is simply a knee-jerk reaction to a horrific event aimed at removing yet another of our rights as citizens. Please consider the thousands of responsible reptile owners and the supporting evidence (or LACK thereof in the case of negative numbers) supporting this type of thing and do NOT pass it.

Magnus Hedemark | I use exotic animals as a tool in the education of my children as they are in many ways safer and more responsible pets than the common dog or cat. It would be incredibly irresponsible of the state to regulate this and should instead advise law enforcement officers and public prosecutors to leverage existing laws against criminal negligence instead of burdening millions of North Carolinians with new laws.
Angela Surdez | I dont feel that reptiles should be ban. I have a 6 foot 2 inch red tailed boa and she is as sweet as pie. She would never do harm to anything or anyone besides a rat (which is food to her). She is no where near dangerous. I could understand somewhat if there was a law to ban poisionous snakes but not constricting snakes. Just because someone was ignorent and careless to let a child near a tiger that obviousely wasnt trained well enough killed a child doesnt mean that all weird and unheard of pet should be ban.
Kenneth Harrell | As usaul the politions can agree on anything important like finding new jobs or balancing the state budget, but they can figure out new ways to interfer in your private lives or give their selves an unneeded raise.
