Bobby Stec | This ban is ridiculous i have had reptiles al my life and never had one incidents and i own constrictors twice my size. Reptile breeding is a multi-billion dollar industry which tons of people make lots of money off of
Britt Benjamin | Please do not ban our Exotics...If Guns are legal to just about anyone, then how can you take something away from the people that are passionate about Herps.

Kimberly Coleman | Vote No on the ban. There is no health hazard by keeping exotics. Responsible keepers should not be punished nor should their reptiles. I rescued an abandoned snake that would have died in the wild. Give them a chance to live.

Rusty Pruitt | I hope this bill doesnt go through, it hurts the people that have a true love for reptiles and enjoy taking care of them (just like someone who has cats and dogs)IT WONT BE FAIR!!!!!

I am with you in this fight!
Say NO to the Reptile Bans! |
Jennifer Ferguson | A ban on private ownership would only result in a drastic reduction of welfare for these animals as desperate owners ditch their once beloved and well cared for pets!
David Lore | I have kept reptiles in Rowan County for many years and I am vehemently opposed to any attempts to prohibit possesion of these beautiful creatures. Education is the key to safe and responsible ownership and creating new laws will not deter anyone except law-abiding owners. These laws are simply a knee-jerk reaction to a terrible tragedy, and will do nothing but stop conservationist and others from attempting to provide and care for these animals.

Matthew Lake | My reasoning for this is simple, many exotic reptiles are amazingly gentile. Its all in the upbringing of the animal. Its not unlike a young human. If brought up violent, many times, so will the child; same concept with any animal not just exotics. Plus, even if you make exotic reptiles illegal, it wont stop hobbyists from keeping them. They will simply purchase the animal out of state, and go underground with it.

Chris Yarbrough | It's unconstitutional for the senate to ban exotic reptiles for the responsible constituents.
Robert W Reese |
Kristy Owens | I support that reptiles should be pets and the owners are responsible for any damage done to any one else.

Lauren Ferry | i own a green iguana, chinese water dragon, schneider skink, and box turtle, and i surely would fight to keep them. I love them all like other pet owners love their dogs and cats. I take them to the vet and spoil them like they were my children
Sean Rauls | I am new to the hobby and would like the oppertunity to expand my collection. It is not fair to punish the many responsible handlers for the actions of a few careless ones. I also have never liked the idea of laws against what I enjoy simply because someone else does not like or is uneducated on the subject. You stay out of my house and I will stay out of yours. Thank you.
Britt Benjamin | Dont take away the hobby from those who do care and appreciate it..
Tyson Whittaker | that would hurt the reptile industry as well as many dedicated keepers like myself
| 1134 | Sheryl Johnson | It is irresponsible animal owners who are a danger, not the animals. It doesn't matter if it's a housecat, or a python, if the owner is irresponsible, that animal can put others indanger.I have been around animals of ALL types, all my life, and the worst injuries I have ever had came from housecta and parakeets- not the many reptiles and exotics I've been around.
Please, go after the owners who don't know what they're doing, but don't turn those of us who believei n responsible reptile ownership into criminals just for wanting to have pets that we see as being just as cute and cuddly as some see dogs and cats to be.Be fair about the laws and regulations you pass- there are good pet owners, and bad pet owners- please don't penalize the many good pet owners for what the few bad ones have done. |
Russell Rollins |
Ian Dillin |
Kevin Ray | I agree completely. Dogs and cats are more "Inherently dangerous" than reptiles and to be honest, the only reason people think otherwise is a lack of education.

Nicole Tschudy |
valerie gisiger | snakes are not meant to be pets.
Charles Bolen | Keep it legal. Far more people are killed by dogs each year then snakes.

justin rosado | We should have the rights to own our animals. Not only are they our pets but for some companions. For others as hobbys that keep them busy and occupied away from the streets.
