| 1056 | Ernest Eison | Protect the rights of responsible ownership. Bans only punish the innocent . |
| 1057 | Justin Morse | I would almost classify a ban of this sort as an outrage. I don't know where my life would be were I not able to freely partake in the hobby that I love, and have loved for my entire life. Consider the feeling and the rights of the people who are not too incompetent to be responsible exotics owners. |

| 1070 | Dorian Flowers | I do not agree with ANY legislation to ban the responsible ownership of exotic animals. |
| 1071 | Drew | I do not believe banning venomous snakes in NC, or any other state, is necessary or practical. I believe the keeper of the venomous snake is responsible and should be able to maintain snakes in captivity in any fashion that he or she wishes so long as they are educated and skilled at what they do. If someone gets bit, it is their fault, not the snake's. By educating keepers in the field of reptile husbandry, we can help better understand these magnificent creatures.

| 1092 | Geoff Gooch | Responsible pet owners should not have their rights diminished because others fail to properly educate themselves on care and handling |

| 1094 | Eric Smith | There is a big difference between owning a python and a large carnivorous mammal. Reptiles thrive in captivity, and rarely pose a threat to the owners or their family, guests, etc. Tigers, cougars, bears, badgers, and other large dangerous mammals do NOT thrive in captivity, and pose considerable dangers to everyone around them. I'm all for banning private Tiger ownership, except by major zoos, but taking away someone's ball python is taking money out of the pet and reptile breeder trade, and taking an enjoyable pet out of our lives. |
| 1095 | Chris Carr | I live in Nj. but if this ban happens whats to say it wont happen here. i am a small time ball python breeder. trying to make a living. how am i supposed to do what i love and support a family if i can't sell and deal the animals i love so much to care for. in fact there is such a big market out there on reptiles that not only will you be hurting the dealers, breeders, big name pet stores, mom and pop shops, but also the economy, driving sales of individual stores down. i thought America was formed on the foundation of freedom. so how can people be free if they can't sell and educate people about the things they love. think of the money end of it they dont make money they can't pay taxes. so don't think of this as an easy way to stop people from doing what they love to do. enjoy the time with the reptiles. and putting money into the economy where it needs to be. not supporting some stupid bill that theres already laws out there for why not just reinforce the laws already put into action instead of spending millions more on making more laws.
yours truely,
chris |
| 1096 | Dylan O. Burge | I am a keeper of reptiles, and I do not want to see the rights of reptile keepers limited. |

| 1100 | Rachel Lanier | Please dont make outlaws of decent citizens. Punish the few who give the rest of us a bad reputation. Give the public access to the educational tools necessary to understand that reptiles and their owners are not evil, crazy or dangerous. Hey there are some of us out here who dont like cats, but we are not calling for a ban on them. Please don't impose a ban on us! |
