Robin Hobbs | I think the entire bill should be thrown out.
kevin koscher | mabey the legislagtors should consentrat on the real isuus like crime unemployment and and the outher viable issues before us instead o0f tryiong to get headlines and clouding the real issues when is the last time a snake or a lizard held up a store
Jason DeBottis | I used to live in Raleigh and I have 9 snakes myself. I would hate to see anything like this passed as i think it would not only hurt the passion for exotic animals that are endangered but also promote the ignorance and intolerance of the less liked species like snakes.
Erich Rhom | I have been bitten more times by chihuahuas than I have by my captive snake!

teresa owens | Having worked as a vet assistant for many years I must say that I find dogs and cat to be more inherantly dangerous to citizens than reptiles.
allan hedgecock |
reggie ewing | We already lost the right to own venomous reptiles in Washington. How many rights are politicians going to take away from the american people?
Joseph S. Klepacz III | No one will take any of my animals away from me. If this becomes law, then North Carolina will lose myself and my family as residents.

Lew Iacovelli | Guns are more dangerous than reptiles - and you have the right to bear arms. Pit bulls and Rottweilers are inherently dangerous and there is no legislation banning their ownership!
Pickett Smith |
Tyler McKim |
Randy Smith | The tipcial solution for Government is to bring bad legislation on the responcible to cover for their irresponcebilty. In not konwing (caring) where the real problems stem from. Not those that do their best to uphold a good standard and the law.
Annie Englehardt | I keep pythons and they less dangerous than dogs... are those next?
Jennifer DeBrecht |
Michael VanRiper | I think that the idea of a ban on ownership of exotic animals is completely assenine. There is already plenty of legilastion and permiting requirements in place to prevent backyard tigers if they were simply enforced. Please do not ask those of us who own exotic animals responsibly to pay for the transgressions of those who don't. Please vote "NO" on this legislation.
Nicole Simoes |
Tom Redden | As a NC citizen, I protest this proposed legislation.
Daniel McNeil | This is rediculous, if it wasn't a tiger it could have been a pencil, a swimming pool or even a sick human being. People watch your children, around anything that can cause them harm.
Eric | It should be noted that there is a major difference between any sort of reptile and an intellegent mammal, such as a tiger or bear. A snake is perfectly happy and healthy in captivity, a tiger is not.
Michelle Welty Moore | I would be happy to make calls or write letters to assist in the defeat of a movement to limit individual rights to own exotic pets. With the diminishing habitat, cats, lizards, whatever - will survive only through private ownership. Please feel free to contact me at any time - I am adamantly against any legislation banning exotic pets, and have had to leave my own beloved margay in Panama due to these newly imposed regulations - there was a time we could all own these animals responsibly.
Thomas Earnest | I cannot say anything you haven't heard before.
Elisabeth Waters | I am against the ban of safe, nonvenimous reptiles such as lizards only.

Shaun Atkinson | NO BAN!!!!! this would mean i would have to get rid of all my "children" HELL NO!!!
Gerald rinehart | why are thy trying to ban exotic when dogs attack and kill more people per year
Lindsay Stauffenberg | Please contact me at 980-522-7613 or 422 Conner St. Gastonia, NC 28054
Gregory Pokrywka MD, FACP |
August C Hamp | I have a ball python and a columbian red tail boa. My wife and I spend a lot of time with them and they have never bitten either one of us. You just have to read about and understand the animals that you own. It isn't any differant than buying a cat or dog. If you don't take care of them then they can have temperment problems too, but you don't see anyone trying to ban all dogs and cats.
Brian Preachers | I feel it is unjust to make it so that all exotic reptiles would be banned. I feel there should be a checks and balances system on those of us that own exotics but that is it. To ban all exotic reptiles would be a diservice to those of us that are responsible owners and that love our herps.
