Laura Gilmour | I can see the banning of large excotic animals (i.e. tigers) as it is difficult to safely and humanely care for them in captivity. However, most pet reptiles have been captive bred for several generations and with propper precautions there are very few risks to the animals or their owners from keeping them in captivity.
Chris Thomas | Why get rid of exotic pets they are the same as having a dog
Kenneth Johnson | I've been keeping exotic reptiles for 18 years. There are more life threatening incidents from pet dogs and cats than there are from exotic animals in NC.

Richard Garnant | This is wrong!!!
Henry | Noooooooooooooooooooo!
Trent Mullis | im completely against a ban of exotic reptiles. the responsible owners of these magnificent animals have furthered the study of herpetology and have advanced breeding techniques of these amazing animals.

Dail Procko | I think that it is maddening that the government is going to tell us what we can own in our own home. I can see if it is an endangered species or something, but most exotic enthusiests actualy help with the consevation of the endangeres. My snakes, spiders, frogs...are my babies, I will NOT let anyone take them from me.
Amy K. Foust | I am the proud owner of two boa constrictors that have never hurt anyone. The statistics speak for themselves. Don't let species bias become law.
Roger Harris | Allowing special interest groups to dictate policy is the start of slippery slope. If PETA et al have their way, they'l push to ban animals used for essential medical research.

Paul Costa | There is no reason to ban animals whom do not propose a threat. There are MANY dog bites and cat scratches to children each year. Are we going to ban them also?
Kristen Fisher |
luke mcmahan | I think it is an outrage to hold a group of people accountable for the actions of a handful of idiots. Having reptiles in my home is my right not a priviledge that can be held over my head by a government that fears what they do not understand.
