| 840 | Markie Robinson | The Mummers are like no other parade in the world. Trying to describe it to someone who has never seen or HEARD of them is astounding. It is such a unique and dedicated event the world should know about a parade that is over 100 years old. |
| 841 | Annette Rivera | I was born and raised in South Philly and have lived in LA for the past 17 years. New Years Day is what I miss most. It was supposed to be run on WGN last year but the parade was postponed and we were very disappointed. |
| 842 | Anonymous | I was excited to find that WGN had aired the Mummers Parade on New Years 2008.
I remember watching portions of the parade on TV when I was a child.
I was dissapointed to find that it is not going to be televised this year.
In a time when the Arts are being dropped and sports dominating with air ways. I believe that it is an important cultural event that all should be exposed to.
I know, because I live in a "Cultural Dead Zone" and with the economy trending down, I have been unable to travel to experience the Arts.
Please support the National coverage of such events as the Mummers Parade. |

| 845 | Patricia Byrne | The Mummers Parade is an American Tradition for anyone who has resided or grown up in the PA/NJ area, more so then the football games and Rose Bowl Parade. Generations have associated the Mummers with the New Year. Having lived outside of the PA/NJ area for most of my adult life, our family find ourselves searching for a glimpse of the Mummers Parade each year. Our adult children want to share this unique tradition with their children as we are located in Virginia and travel to PA. is not possbile. Bring the Mummers Parade to National TV and not just for two hours! |
| 846 | Debbie Lample | |
| 847 | Sharon Fifield |
| 848 | A Ruggeri | Please televise the Parade! |
| 849 | Curtis Cook | Please find a way to share this outside Philadelphia. It HAS to be more profitable than some of the things that are shown on New Years! |
| 850 | -doris&larry seaman | they have the rose parade on three networks, you mean we can not have the mummers one national network! |
