| 601 | B.J. Keating | I grew up in Philly - 27A - and the Mummer's Parade was always a New Year's Day staple. I'd love to see the parade televised nationally each year so that I can see it from Virginia where I now live. |
| 602 | Anonymous | Even a webcast of the entire parade would be better than just 4 hours. It's a fun family event and if the parade runs long or gets rained out, no one gets to see it. |
| 603 | Anonymous | I would love to see the WHOLE parade on TV I can view in the DC area. |
| 604 | Lillianne DiMaio | We miss the New Year's Parade!! We moved to the south gulf side of Florida two years and the only thing we were worried about was missing the New Year's Day Parade!! No joke, it's THAT important! Please make it available nationally (especially the string bands!), so that we can feel like we're a part of it all again. It's the greatest parade in the world, hands down, and deserves national coverage above any other parade for any other event! It is the only thing people should be doing on New Year's Day - voting for their favorite string band, or fancy brigade, etc. It's a COMPETITION, not just a parade! With the popularity of shows like American Idol, wouldn't it be a hit?! It's the biggest and pretty much only event going on January 1st, so why isn't it getting the attention and coverage?! While I am grateful that WGN decided to cover any of it at all, I can't believe they cut it off at 6pm to put on "Funniest Pet Tricks" right before the String Bands stepped off, the best part!!! Are you kidding me!? There was literally a dog sitting and taking a dump on my tv, where there should have been string bands, and our hearts sunk! How disappointing! That's like ending the SuperBowl in the forth quarter to show a re-run of "The Facts of Life". Also a suggestion: There should be intermittent interviews and showings of the parade along the route in South Philly, too, because that is where the real heart and soul of the parade is. That is where the friends and families are lined up and cheering everyone on and it captures the real feeling of the parade. The mummers are part of the working class and that is where the working class are to cheer them on. The tourists are near the judges stands in center city. | 605 | Fred Schmidt | A transplant to Florida 20 years ago, from Philadelphia/South Jersey, I have missed the Mummers Day parade. Once in a while we catch it on cable for a few hrs. But like today (1/1/2008), there was a delay and the String Bands were not on before the WGN/Superstation cutoff at 6pm ET to show reruns of Most Funniest Home Videos. I'm in favor of ahe full show being shown nation wide. Many transplants from the Philly area exist and even those who have friends now in the other parts of the country who now and love the Mummers. |
| 606 | Perry Fitzpatrick | I want to see the mummer's parade on national TV. I am orginally from New Jersey and miis the mummers Parade. |
| 607 | Donna Libby | I grew up in Philly and really miss the parade on new years ever since i moved to florida. Its the best parade i have ever seen. |

| 609 | Mary Harper | It is a traditional American event and there are tranplanted Philadelphians all over the country. |
| 610 | Anonymous | I miss the parade after moving to Virginia. Would love to see it every year. |
| 611 | Angel | How horrifying was it to see the Mummers coverage cut off just before the string bands came on with WGN tv?? I was horrified. Please sign so that we may watch the whole parade next year. Thanks. |
| 612 | Anonymous | Could you please make sure that the stringbands are shown during the small time frame given to this wonderful show. |
| 613 | Warren Gross | It would be great to see the parade on TV, I actually have seen some of the parade on TV on WGN however please make sure the show the string bands and Fancy brigades. |
| 614 | Stephen W. Hall | I was born & raised in Philadelphia. I now 78 years old, live in WV and am not happy that the Mummers Parade broadcast was cut short after broadcasting only 4 hours. I looked forward to the parade, especially the Strings section, only to have the broadcast via WGN end before the parade was over. I want ot see it from beginning to end.
Thank you. |

| 620 | Jeffrey Spangenberg | The Parade and String Bands are a part of my New Years Must-see TV! The showmanship is top-notch and I am sure if people were to see it across the US, they would fall in love with it too!
Better than Mardi-Gras!!! |
| 621 | Stanley Bochnak | Such a wonderful parade should be shared with everyone! |
| 622 | Megan Bochnak | |
| 623 | Jim Bacco | I have lived in Las Vegas for 12 years and miss seeing the mummers. |

| 625 | Anonymous | You can only watch so much football! I have so many happy memories of watching the Mummer's parade with my dad's family. I would love to be able to see it on TV here in Virginia!! |
| 626 | Anonymous | grew up in philly.I live in TN now want to see the mummers parade here on national television |
| 627 | Linda Burke | Working in the airfreight industry, I have many customers and co-workers from other states ask if I watch the parade. I thought they could see the parade especially, since here in Philly, we see other parades. They tell me it is not broadcast in other cities. |

| 631 | Donna D'Alonzo | My family and I recently moved to S.C. from N.J. and the Mummers Parade is traditional for us. This is the first time we could'nt watch it. |

| 635 | Joseph Sims | One parade that is worthy of being televised nationally. |
| 636 | Mrs Christine Soldi | I had no idea who the mummers were and what
they did. I happened to catch part of it on t.v.
What a spectacular show. I was disappointed when
they cut away in the middle of the show. I would like
to see the show repeat on tele

| 639 | Anonymous | I really miss the parade. With federal regulations blocking the channels on cable and satellite, people outside the southeast PA cannot enjoy the parade. Started watching back in the early 60's when it was in black and white. |
| 640 | Beatrice Ellis | I grew up in Philadelphia and never missed the Mummers Parade on New Years Day and was very disappointed that I could not view the parade even though I still llive in Pennsylvania. Why? The Rose Bowl in California is National and so are the Football games. This is an "once in the Nation Parade with much good history behind it and the best music you could ever hear from a group of experts that work so very hard and bring joy to many people of all classes and nationalties. You must change this "non-fair practice of not having the Mummers Parade broadcasted on National TV. It is unfair. Thank You |

| 643 | Christian Ready | Anyone who has seen the mummers knows what a great show they put on. |
| 644 | Marilyn King | Since moving to North Carolina from South Jersey several years ago, this is truly one event that I truly miss. |
| 645 | Jack McGettigan | As a native Philadelphian and life-log Mummers fan, I have a special appreciation for what this amazing parade really is -- better and more real, less corporate than Mardi Gras or the Rose Parade.... a bunch of people from all classes and walks of life coming together, often with an astonsihing degree of entertainment "professionalism" to celebrate a New Year tradition ....Also, as someone who "had to" leave my home town almost 30 years ago (although only about a hundred miles, to Harrisburg) I both struggle with the frequent inability to reliably watch "my" mummers and appreciate the special treat it wold be to be able not only to wathc it from anywhere, but to share it with people fromeverywhere....even those not fortunate enough to have ever even been Philadelphians. |
| 646 | William J Campbell | This is a must. Even if it is only for 6 hours. |
| 647 | Anna Daniels | |
| 648 | Phyllis Rice | I was born and raised in Philly and the Mummers parade has always been a New Years event. I have since moved to the West Coast In Las Vegas, NV and it just is not New Year's to me without the parade that I grew up with. I am sorry, although the Rose Parade is beautiful it can not hold a candle to the Philadelphia Mummers Parade. |

I've been waitng for years for this event to be broadcasted in National TV |
