And a more thorough investigation by the CDC. It is becoming epidemic, and it is not even clear to most what, or who, is causing this disease.
It is debilitating, dismaying and very, very life-destroying.

The quality of my life is at an all time low. I had this mess for almost a year & I can't see myself living another year like this. The manifestations of this disease persist and worsen despite self treatments of various types and great cost by sufferers. The condition is disabling and not just cosmetic. More than 90% with Morgellon symptoms test positive for Lyme Disease by PCR tests that detect genetic markers versus the unreliable antibody tests being offered by health systems nation wide. The FDA and CDC are failing miserably in their duties on both accounts - investigating Morgellon's and acknowledging the epidemic of undetected chronic Lyme Disease. They need to be forced to investigate and find answers and treatments instead of protecting the interests of the insurance and pharmaceutical corporations and lobbyists. |
