| 201 | Ankit | Bhalla | | | It amazes me that you can continue to put player after player into the hall of fame and leave out one of the greatest just because he was not a self promoter, any personal vendeta the voters have against the Redskins should not reflect on the addition of Art to the HOF. In a day and age of the "me" attitude of players and many wide receivers(TO and Moss for example) why would you punish a player for not being a self promoter, it is rediculous. The two best WRs in the NFL today are pompus jackasses and have few morals or respect for their teams and one to a point of the game and its fans. Art Monk acted in a style that is lost in todays NFL and many fans wish more players today were like Art Monk. Does he have to moon an audience or insult a great defensive player in the endzone to get recognition. It is a shame that someone who held the most receptions record at a time is not in the hall. He was Rice before Rice, he was greatest at his time.
Shame that you act as if you love the game in reports, you thrive on the bad things players do because you will get more ratings. You act as if what they do insults you but obviously it insults you when players don't do what you claim to be disgusted by, otherwise monk would have been in the hall years ago. |
| 202 | John | Partin | VA | US | Art Monk belongs among the greats in Canton. He was a team player who contributed any and all ways asked. His numbers at the time of his retirement speak for themselves and if nothing else he was the precursor for the 'modern day' wideouts. |
