J | Bird | TN | | I can't believe they keep overlooking him. And inducting Steve Young and saying how Irvin deserves it instead of Monk really makes me sick. I guess if Monk did drugs and was a thug, he would make it.
Erik | Reynolds | | |
gary | white | | |
larry | dent | OH | US | art monk is one of the greatest. there shouldn't be any contest to his hall of fame entry.
Michael | Lee | TN | US | This is a BIG slap in the face of all Redskin fan and all fans of the game that someone like Art Monk is not in the hall when lesser talents get in because the mouth off and show off to get noticed. Art played the game the way you should. TEAM first and the rest will be all right.
Matthew | Linhares | MD | US |
Michael | Sullivan | MD | US | In his time, Art Monk was one of the best, if not the best WR in the game (second maybe to Rice). He was a consumate professional that sacrificed flashiness to do whatever it took to get the job done...blocking, going across the middle, etc. He ended his career with multiple NFL records...it is irrelevant that they have been broken in the 10 years since. Other players at other positions that aren't "flashy" have gotten in, so there is no question that Art Monk deserves to join them.
Dana | Romano | FL | US | He was the all time leading receiver when he retired. Thats all that needs to be said
michael | mays | | US | This man needs to be in the hall of fame and everyone knows it.
Raphael | Shannon | MD | US | In an era of obnoxious and megalomaniacal wide receivers, Art Monk would make a stellar example of prudence and commitment in the Hall of Fame. Induct TRUE GREATNESS!! INDUCT ART MONK!!
Clarence | Oliver | MD | US | He should be in the Hall of Fame period !!!!!!
Kathy | Alderton | MD | US |
chris | bowman | | |

Kevin | Hubbard | GA | US |
Thuy | Le | | US | He deserves it. Please honor him as he should be.
brian | aldridge | | US | sometimes the hall of fame is blind. i hope art monk makes class of 2006
pat | burton | | |
Rosemary | Owen | GA | US | I believe Art Monk to be one of the greatest players of our time, who belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Terrell | Lawrence | NC | |
Craig | Sharum | MA | US | I can't believe that this is even necessary - Monk should be a lock.
Tim | Hancock | OH | US |
Robert | Sylvester | | |
Markus | Townsend | | US | he deserves it!!!!!!!
AHMAD | ZAGHAL | VA | US | BEST RECEPTION RECIEVER OF ALL TIME
John | Larranaga | NC | US | The man owned every significant recird when he retired with the exception of career TD's. Just because he was shy with the media doesnt mean he is NOT worthy of the hall. Frankly, Art Monk not being in the hall of fame cheapens all the greatness that it stnads for.
BooBoo | Johnson | DC | US |
charles | lopez | VA | US | monk was not only an outstanding player but he was and is an outstanding rolemodel for youths of today and tomarrow, he deserves to be in the hall of fame
Brian | Schroeder | VA | US | DO THE RIGHT THING, FOR SKINS FANS, FOR ART MONK, AND FOR THE HALL OF FAME.THE HALL EXISTS FOR PLAYERS WHO 'AT THEIR TIME' PERFORMED AT A EXCEPTIONAL LEVEL. SO , MR. SPORTS WRITERS STOP W/ THE EXCUSE THAT MANY RECENT AND CURRENT WR HAVE SIMILAR OR BETTER STATS AND YOU CANT PUT ALL OF THEM IN THE HALL. AND I AGREE. YOU SIMPLY LOOK AT THE BEST FROM THIS TIME PERIOD.BUT I GUESS THAT WOULD BE TO EASY.
Kei | Shabazz | GA | US |
Scott | Johnson | VA | US |
michael | mcclernon | PA | US | It's a real shame that a talent like Art Monk is not in the hall of fame. Art Monk is a person whom I give my last dollar. So if I could help him get in the hall Im buying!
Caleb | Dorsey | | US |
Mike | Sullivan | | | He deserves it! simple
Rick | Robinson | | |
bryan | kenny | VA | US |
steve | rehn | | |
John | Partin | VA | US | I'm a lifetime Redskins fan and I love Art Monk as an individual and as a fantastic alumni, however he belongs among the greats in Canton. First WR to ever grab 100 catches EVER! And watching him since he was drafted he sacrificed his body for the team effort. Isn't that what TEAM is about? NFL should be ashamed not to include #81 Art Monk in the HOF.
Erik | Delfosse | MD | US |
frank | jones | VA | US |
Landon | Taylor | | | Art Monk retired the leading receiver in NFL history. In his career he was one of the most reliable, smartest, steadiest receivers in history. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He epitomizes dedication to his sport and his team.
William | Foy | | | Art Monk was a consumate football player that many of todays players could learn alot from. He never ran out of bounds, instead he would spin and head up field knowing he would get hit just to earn a few more yards. After touchdowns he usuallly handed the ball to the ref. He was my hero as a child and I could not think of a better example of hardwork and professionalism. He was a quiet player, preferring to sneak out the back door than to give interviews after a big game which is exactly why he is being blackballed by the members of the press which vote inductees into the HOF. If these men can't honestly see that he deserves to be there then the responsibility of voting should be taken out of thier hands.
