| 1008 | David | Purvis | SD | US | I've spent many hours in state parks. I know that people with metal detectors do less damage to parks than do houses, dogs, and other people. |

| 1012 | Elizabeth | Hamra | AR | US | I agree. As long as people are allowed to go into a State Park and slaughter innocent animals we should be allowed to enter and use our "sport equipment". |

| 1030 | David | Packard | NC | US | My wife,Family and Sister in law and Family, were planing a vacation to Arkansas. But being that we are METAL DETECTORIST and take them with us as part of our vacations, we have changed our mind about Arkansas as a vacation destination. It is a hobby that is good for everyone. We get excersise, and yes, we find goodies. We in the metal detecting craft have a code we adhere to as far as covering up our holes, not damaging property, taking out the trash that we find. That includes many item like sharp matal from beer and soda cans, nails and other sharp items that other tourist and childern could and most probably have injured themselves on in the past. I can see no reason that makes any good sense to have a law that will not allow us METAL DETECTORIST TO ENJOY OUR SPORT. PEOPLE FISH, HUNT PLAY FOORTBALL AND ALL THE OTHER BALLS ON THE FIELDS, BUT YET WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO METAL DETECT. That seems very unfair to us. I might add that your State is missing out of a lot of new tourist money coming into your State, Money you have to do nothing for except allow us METAL DETECTORIST both locally from your own State, and those of us from other States to come in and METAL DETECT in your State Parks. Thanks you for reading this. David Packard Leicester North Carolina. |
