| 410 | Chris Bonfoco | MMA has evolved significantly over the past 15 years. In its original form it was appropriate to ban it as it was unsafe and many of the participants were unfit to compete.
However, today there are rules, referring is standardized and certification is required. As well the athletes are trained professionals and are prepared for the sport in which they are competing.
From a business perspective Ontario is foolish not to allow MMA. It is a Multi-Billion dollar industry not only for the fighters and promoters but for the trainers, club owners, landlords retailers etc. Banning a billion dollar industry during harsh economic times based on old information and rules is illogical and irresponsible. This decision should not be in the hands of 1 biased individual. Guaranteed, the electorate wants MMA and it is now a safe sport that is no more dangerous than Hockey, Football, Lacross or Boxing. |
| 411 | Anonymous | This is just ignorance on the part of the people in charge. MMA would bring a tonne of revenue into Ontario and create jobs in very poor economy.. What are they thinking !!!!! |
