The petition
Mark & Carmen Jones of Edmond, Oklahoma have experienced unbelievable hardships in 2006-2007. Problems began in May 2006 when Mark developed acute pancreatitis.
He was hospitalized for 6 months and is currently in recovery in the home. Mark came close to losing his life several times while in the hospital. Carmen stayed at Mark's side to assist him in fighting for his life.
Mark and Carmen have been self-employed for many years. Mark runs a tax and accounting service and Carmen provides speech therapy services for children and families with apraxia, autism, neurological and speech impairments.
Those of us who know Carmen have experienced her faithful and giving heart for families. Carmen has always been willing to go way beyond the call of duty for "her kids" and "her families".
Mark's health problems took a significant toll on this families income last year. Both their business and home are in foreclosure. They have more than $3.5 million in hospital debts and their monthly home health care expenses are an issue. Mark and Carmen are in a hole and are tired.
This petition expresses our desire that Mark and Carmen Jones be selected for ABC's EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER. The petition also expresses our support and prayers for this precious family. We pray that their health, home, business, and hope would be revived and restored ten-fold.
