| 51 | Lisa McCafferty-Fluty | The beginning of January, almost instatntly our vivacious, energetic, happy dog Peaches was beginning to sleep longer, she could no longer jump onto the couch to her normal area where she would always sit between my husband and I. She could no longer jump into the cars for a ride. Rather than running behind me as she always did, she would stand in the middle of the room and watch. I then noticed her eating habits changing. She would not eat, even when she was tempted with her favorite foods. She began to drink a lot more water than usual, as well - she would have the urge to pass a bowel movement, to no avail. She would vomit and urinate more. One day I came home and found blood in her stool. IWhen picked up she was limp. I immediately took her to our vet. The occurances up to the vet visit was only within a couple of days.One day she was normal the next day - her world changed.
The next day I received a call from my vet saying that Peaches was having kidney failure and that they would like to place her on kidney dialysis - they did. After a few days of dialysis, Peaches kidney levels fell from the 700's to 250. After her leaving the Vets Office I would return to have her blood levels periodically.
At the end of February one day Peaches breath was terrible, it smelled just terrible - we took her back to the vet where they removed all four of large teeth in the back. She never regained her strength and seemed to be having the symptons of kidney failure once again. About a week after her teeth were pulled Peaches would cringe when outside, Cringing when a shadow would move, as if she was avoiding something. As I was inspecting her eyes - I noticed white spots, and her eyes seemed like that of a dead fish, the corneas were sinking in and they were dry.
Immediately I took her back into the vet and they concluded kidney failure had re appeared. They said that her rapid decay of her eyes would lead to eventual complete blindness and her teeth This the vet concluded was due to her Kidney Failure . We placed her again on Dialysis - to no avail. Peaches died two days later. I used Iams and Nutro Max (dry and wet). |

He is recovering but I feel betrayed by Walmart & Menu Foods and still fear he may not make a full recovery. |

We had a ferret that ate cat food from Krogers and it too got sick. I was online right away looking for a cause and thought he was suffering from an internal blockage, after taking him to the vet at 8am on a Saturday morning we found outg he was suffering from KIDNEY FAILURE. Now I want to know how they can make us believe that just when all this comes out my pet had the same thing yet it wasn't caused from bagged food??? Prove this to me somehow.
My pet had the same symptoms listed...throwing up, (looked like black tar), couldn't control his bodily functions, he was very weak, he would walk and fall over (like he lost control over the back half of his body), he was clearly very uncomfortable. RIP Sammy (beloved pet ferret)

My son raised our cat from a kitten he was like one of my children now u cannot replace that. I changed her after 3-4 days of seeing her in such agony. I thought she was just not tolerating the food but obviously it was the brand that was contained whatever is hurting all these animals. |

And 1 dog and severel cats that will nibble on what they don't eat. I mixed the wet with dry for them. My 11yr old Chihuahua slept all day yesterday and didn't eat & she hasn't been letting me know she needed to go out. She has just been wetting at the door & she has been drinking & wetting more. I thought she was just feeling bad until I saw the symptom list tonight. She did eat tonight but went straight to her bed when she finished. I'm going to take her to the Vet's in the morning. I'm hoping she didn't get enough to kill her. A couple of yrs ago a man shot 2 of my cats up with anti-freeze. These symptom's seem to be a lot like they had. I couldn't save them. |

| 87 | madelyn connally | my 7 year old dog belle had eaten at least 3 cans of the tainted Iams food. She was exhibiting some symtons and vomited severely last thursday after eating. I heard about the recall Sat. morning and rushed her to the vet. Her creat. level was elevated and had to have her re-tested on Mon. I was scared to death all weekend!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily for me these blood levels went down to normal. Belle is still not herself, drinking tons of water, needing to go to the bathroom a lot etc. I have been frantic. Please let me know what we can do. I have to of the tainted cans in my freezer and my vet has the other one. |
