| 1645 | Brigid Garroni | I have always been totally in favour of a ban on hunting despite NOT being a member of Birdlife, and therefore welcome this opportunity to show Maltese hunters that it is not only Birdlife who are against what they have variously (as occasion suits them) called a "sport" (sport is between two equally-matched) opposing sides; a "tradition" (so are noisy petards, which most people find offensive); or a "delizzju" - a caprice, which, like the wearing of fur coats, causes the unnecessary deaths of creatures who have as much right to live out their natural lives as the rest of us. I am totally on the side of the birds in this contest between them and the hunters. |
