"Community" means everybody who wants to help the schools

The petition

Community involvement and support has always been a pillar of strong public schools. Enrolled or not, the cooperation of all families and neighbors with the school teachers and staff helps build a positive learning environment for the children. Maxwell Park schools and all of Oakland public schools need the full support and unity of the community.

When applicants for the new Maxwell Park Elementary School Principal are being interviewed in May, and when the new school is being designed next school year, I demand there be seats at the table for teachers, staff, parents and community members.
