Galen GaffneyI'm really disappointed in MLB. They should be a ashamed of themselves for letting greed get the better of them than making their fans happy. This deal clearly states MLB is more focused on $$$ than their fans. I would implore you to reconsider or even make it available to us Cable and Dish Network subscribers to get the MLB Extra Innings package. This is unfair to us as fans and especially the out of market fans.
AlanIf MLB signs the exclusive deal, they will lose me as a fan forever. Baseball will also lose my 4 year old son forever. If MLB can treat me like this, I will never buy another hat, shirt, ticket to a game. My services are bundled. It will cost me an arm and a leg to get the right to pay for out of town games. I am not asking for it to be free. I just want to be able to watch games like I did for the last five years. Watching games on a PC is the last thing I want to do after spending hours at work on a PC.

cary TinkerThis is a Joke... I moved away from San diego 3 years ago and have been a subscriber ever since. How Do I watch My Padres now.... In Sacramento Calif... The Dish Network in a poor product. The Hd is terrible. The Service is Terrible.
Chris Jacksonwhat you are doing is money motivated and not fan motivated. Isn't it only about 15% of the consumers are on Direct TV? If so, you are limiting all of the fans that don't have Direct TV and more than likely will NOT switch TV providers just for you.

Joe CoppolaWe need legislation to prevent this in the future.
Joe SpamolaMLB sucks............
Junior TejadaI am a die hard Yankee fan, who moved to Florida only because I would be able to watch the majority of the Yankee games on the MLB Extra Innings. Many fans have been saddened by MLB; they are once again acting in monetary gains and not acting in response to the loyal fans of the game! Talk about MONOPOLY; I am a true NY fan only able to watch the Knicks. I can't watch the JETS and pretty soon the Yanks. MLB has to realize that the fans will me lost once again, only this time there will be no comeback!
AnonymousI resent being funneled to the provider of MLB's choice. I like to make my own choices. And my choice this year is not to spend any money that will enrich MLB.
Charles A. Kuffner, Jr.CHARLES A. KUFFNER, JR. JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT STATE OF NEW YORK, RETIRED 283 N. HAYDEN BAY DRIVE PORTLAND, OREGON 97217 1-503-978-1937 Email: cakjscr@comcast.net March 26, 2007 : I have been a Yankee fan since 1948 and before retiring, was part of a group that had season tickets (beginning back in the days when things were not as they are today). My wife has been a fan her entire life as were her parents. Until the day her mother died from Alzheimer’s, you could brighten her up with “Hi Red, did you read about the Yankee win”? Our children have been raised as fans and we are actively cultivating our grandchildren to the fan base. With all of that history, when we moved to the West coast, we immediately subscribed to the MLB Gameday audio in spring of 2000; the following year we subscribed to the new MLB TV baseball package from our cable company and each year thereafter. This year we also purchased a satellite radio so we can hear the games in the car. When we called to order our TV package this year, imagine our surprise and anger to learn that we can no longer buy the MLB out of market games through our cable company! DirecTV is NOT and option for us so we can’t have the baseball package since we are in a condo whose only outlet is cable TV. Yes, the FCC mandates that we cannot be denied access to the dish or DirecTV but our location does that for us. We are right on the Columbia River, face north, and the severe wind precludes using the dish for the obvious reasons. Plus DirecTV cannot offer us the same package as cable for the same cost. DirecTV is far more expensive. We once looked into it (before Comcast took over) and for the reasons stated, as well as the price we have no other options. What kind of market survey was used by MLB to cut out such a substantial market which we are a part of. Hopefully someone has verified that DirecTV and MLB do not share a common board of director or two or that there is a financial stake in DirecTV held by any voting power of MLB. After all if this deal is not on the up and up, then we are being forced to use DirecTV exclusively for viewing games. Doesn’t that smack of reverse anti-trust activity? We can’t sit back and wait for what happens in the future to the DirecTV deal, we are not getting any younger. Do something for your fans, your loyal fans. DirecTV is NOT an option for many fans; however cable is almost a universal option. Additionally, we have not had any problems with cable or reason to switch providers. We believe in being faithful to those who are faithful to us, unlike MLB. Respectfully,
DONI STENZELVERY DISAPPOINTED THAT MONEY TALKS AND MLB WALKS.....
Bryant BalmacedaThis is hurting MLB.. Fans are turning against MLB. All the fans want is to see their favorite team play, nothing more... Why hurt the connection and lose your fan base
Neil LeavittPigs never get enough. I may give up baseball completely.
C KunoI'm very disappointed about this deal. We don't live in an area where we can watch our team in person. I think it is very misguided to exclude all the fans who are willing to pay extra to watch their teams by limiting the program to one service. I don't understand how this will enhance ticket sales and increase fan support. How quickly we forget about the player strikes and loss of fan interest and outcry had by MLB. While some us have been fans through the many rough times includeing the more recent shift to exhuberant salaries and rising ticket sales, it seems little to ask to have a option to purchase a service to support our team.
edMaking an assumption that folks will just switch to whoever pays more is a complete splap in the face to the fans who MAKE this sport. I cant afford to go through the switch, so my family will miss out on quality family time w/ our Redsox thank MLB!!! thanks for proving that the fans dont mean a damn. After going through the steroid and various black eyes of baseball even I didnt think you would stoop so low. Please let me know how best to explain this to my kids.
AnonymousBaseball is for everybody not only for Direc t.v. subscribers.

dianeI am a Yankees fan in MA and won't be able to watch my team anymore - I refuse to get DirecTV - this is unfair and only creates more unhappy consumers!
AnonymousI think it is absolutely ridiculous that MLB has decided to exclusively broadcast out of market games on Direct TV. I have subscribed to Extra Innings for several years and and the experience increased my love for the game. There is no way that I am switching to Direct TV just to succumb to MLB's selfish ways. It is obvious that MLB cares NOTHING about its fans and this decision makes me want to stop watching baseball all together. Shame on MLB!

AnonymousI am a HUGE baseball fan. As a huge fan - I HATE this deal. This deal means that any one without access to Direct TV will need to have a computer capable of a high-speed internet connection, will have to pay a monthly fee for high-speed internet service - and THEN on top of all that, pay for the MLB.tv package, which is a much lesser broadcast quality then being able to watch a game on TV. Last year I flipped back and forth between at least 4 games a night, which I will no longer be able to do unless I spend ALOT of money to get high-speed internet service (which I otherwise have no need for) and the MLB.tv package - which in the end will be a lesser quality product for a greater cost then the Extra Innings package was available last year. Whether this is a good business deal or not, the MLB fans are the real losers in this....

Scott LooseBud Selig and Bob DuPuy are the worst thing to happen to baseball in my generation. Their greed has ruined the game and this DirectTV deal is just another extension of that. They turned blind eyes to steroids for years and only decided to "clean up" the game after the cat was out of the bag. As long as ratings and revenue were up, the players could do whateer they wanted. What else would you expect when you make an owner the commissioner? I wish Bud Selig would hurry up and have a coronary so we could make baseball America's game again and not just the America that gets DirectTV!

George AllenI've had the MLB Extra Innings package on InDemand for the last 3 seasons now and ask that you give fans like me that don't subscribe to Direct TV our same coverage options with InDemand as before. I don't think its fair that I have to drop my current cable service (Brighthouse Networks) just to switch to Direct TV so I can follow my favorite team. I refuse to do that. I like my current service with Brighthouse and don't wish to be forced to switch just to watch baseball when I want to. Asking me to use plan B, which is MLB TV on my computer is not a good option either. What is my family supposed to do to watch a game together? Gather around the desktop computer? That's not an attractive option for me. If baseball chooses to be greedy with this deal and shut me out, I choose to not follow my favorite team anymore using their choice of Direct TV.
Michaelwww.bostonsucks.net DevilTV and MLB = Monopoly. STOP IT!
Greg HaywardI have enjoyed the MLB package the last 2 years and would be devastated to lose it.
Greg BrailsfordBaseball is destroying its reputation just like they did with the strike in the early 90s. Good job baseball. No need for me to shoot you all in the foot when you're perfectly happy doing it yourselves!
AnonymousIt's time that Congress and The FTC finally take a look at who is the real loser here. This hurts the general public.....Nothing Good Can come out of this.
Ryan P. BarryI have had MLB Extra Innings for three years And I feel I should not have to switch to DirecTv in order to watch out of market games and there is no way I am going to watch baseball on my stinking computer!
MikeDoranI live for baseball. I've bought the MLB package for the past two years from Cox cable and now understand it won'tbe possible this year. How horrible!
Joe S. Schrimsher III do believe the 980+ other signers have said it better than I could now.
Carol BurnsBaseball is my passion. I have purchased the MLB package for the last four years and have enjoyed watching my teams play whenever I want. Please do not take it away from my cable provider (Brighthouse)

AnonymousIt is a travesty that I am going to have to miss my team playin this year. MLB is pushing away the blue collar fans. It is already so expensive to go to a baseball and now MLB want to game out of our home,

Linda HanickSay "NO" to Direct TV's exclusive rights to MLB's Extra Innings. A service like this should be made available through different providers, including local cable providers
AnonymousAs a Red Sox fan in Washington, DC who subscribes to Comcast, I think this deal is a disgrace. I thank Senator Kerry for representing other Sox fans and baseball fans as a whole. This deal cannot be allowed to happen.
