| 2 | Joanna | Moczulski | NJ | US | I've been diagnosed with SLE 16 years ago. There was no neurological involvement, but I do have the Nephritiis Syndrome and my kidneys have undergone several treatments. I have also had the typical Malar Butterfly rash and arthritis pain. There is nothing neurological in my condition although there are cases in which the Central Nervous System is involved. Your main care taker would be a Rheumathologist and then other specialists depending on the individual needs.

| 3 | Lori | Quadros | MA | US | I, too, also believe that Lupus should be classified differently. In some cases, Lupus does affect the central nervous system. But you also have to consider that Lupus affects every single person differenly. No two people have the same ailments when it comes to Lupus. Like myself, for instance, Lupus affects mostly my joints, causing incredible pain and swelling. But it also makes me very fatigued, and I catch every illness that comes near me. Others may have the same as me, and other still may have only one the same, or 10 completely different things going on. That's why Lupus is so hard to diagnose. It mimicks many other illnesses. It may seem to you that in "some" people it may look like they have a neurological disorder, but that in itself, is far from the truth!
With this petition, and all those that are signing it, I can only hope to help educate you, and more people on the truth of Lupus. |

| 29 | Adria | Armbrister | NY | US | Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by periods of remission and flare that may cause tissue damage through inflammation of both skin and internal organs. Neurological complications are not necessarily part of the disease expression. |
