Let's face it, yours is a business. You look for what will give you ratings and share to generate the highest possible price per placement for your commercial time because that gives your sponsors the best return for their money. We want you to make more money! Hence the ratings boost that Luke and Noah bring to the show.
You deserve to be applauded with screams of joy that you have even taken on the Luke and Noah storyline. Again, a standing ovation for hiring Van Hansis who is a quality yet humble human being and a rare acting genius; and Jake Silbermann, a great guy who has grown in talent and chemistry with Noah so much that their kisses and hugs come almost naturally and believably -- even when the writing begs for a lot more believability.
The writing and production bar was raised to new heights though for the Cyndi Lauper episode and the subsequent two that had Noah joining the Army in the fog of his grieving. All three showcased a quality of production that was equal to or exceeded the richness of last summer's shows for which Van was nominated again for an Emmy and out of which the world-wide body of Luke and Noah fans was born.
I have to tell you what you may not see for yourselves. There are many of us building a long-term bond with ATWT and its cast members as we attend fan events and support Van and Jake. At events like the Nukapalooza, the Softball Charity game and more, fan loyalty with other cast members is taking root as the quality of them as people is discovered -- which are translating to viewership and support for their careers as well.
Case in point, a large group are already buying tickets for a night of support for Billy Magnussen in his new play next month. It all adds up, has a momentum and a broad demographic base as the petition says.
Help us help you profit. Put Luke and Noah on 2-3 times a week and invest in the writing that can bring the Emmy to Van and thus to ATWT's credit next year. He's that good, the story is potentially that great and it will be to your mutual credit and profit.
Lastly, thank you for telling the truth through Cyndi Lauper about Gay Pride and the need for support in all communities. Please, let your writers show love's true colors for Luke and Noah.
