Religious fanatics should not be allowed to dictate what the rest of us see. Even though all soap opera couples have obstacles to overcome, make the basis of the Luke and Noah story a sincere, honest and loving relationship. ATWT is the 2nd oldest soap still on the air. It would be an honorable distinction for it also to be the first to portray a fully developed, loving gay relationship. And....please....let them kiss and be affectionate! |

I am writing in regards to the Luke and Noah story line on As The World Turns. I first saw a clip online of this story and it made me want to tune in to see more. I should also tell you I am a man, happily married and heterosexual. I recently found out a friend of our family is gay and in his teens as well. I want to try and understand his orientation and I feel in a small way by viewing this on the show, I am seeing a small way what he faces. This story has been great. I think it has been handled rather well as far as being sensitive to what some may consider "non-conventional" behavior. It has made me more open minded to the gay community in general. My wife has watched the show for years, but like I said, I just recently started watching with her. We have been able to have some great conversations over this story line. We both feel though that there isn't a lot of time given to this compared to a lot of the other story lines on the show. I've also heard "talk" that P&G is considering pulling this story line. I ask on behalf of my gay relative, other people out there who support the GLBT community to keep this story line going. I find it very informative, frustrating (for the couple L&N) at times and a story that needs to be told. Please keep this developing relationship on the front burner. It's important for a lot of people. Thanks for your time. |

Please reconsider to allow Luke and Noah to show some effection for each other. A kiss or a hug even cuddling more is all I'm asking for.
I was glad when Noah came into town, finally someone for Luke to spend his life with instead of feeling he was going to be alone for the rest of his life. Now that seems like its being taking away from him even more. Please don't take away Luke's happiness with Noah. |
