| 452 | Adele Paisley | Reinstate Loblaws in the fundraising program. |
| 453 | Kim and Theo Mellet | As part of our local community, we believe Loblaws should play it's part in that same community. Through the sale of your discounted gift card, you make a valuable and necessary contribution to our entire community.
We, as the community, support you in our everyday lives and feel that it is only right that you do the same, through your support of this initiative. |

| 461 | Brian Kaller | i do not understand your actions ....many parishoners who normally purchase your gift cards are switching to other stores who support us.
We know that Fundscrip is in effect charging us for managing the program and the money they charge is well worth it. We couldn’t do it without them!
Please reverse your decision.

| 463 | Anonymous | I am very disappointed with your decision and emplore you to reconsider, as this is our major fundraiser and I was a weekly contributor to Loblaws. As this fundraiser helps towards our competition fees I have no choice but to purchase from a retailer where I can use a fundscrip gift card. Please reconsder. |
| 464 | Margaret Stauffer | I am very dissapointed to hear that Loblaw’s has changed their policy restricting the sale of gift-cards to exclude schools and non-profit groups. I regularly shop at Loblaws and No Frills with the express purpose of supporting my children's schools and non-profit groups. In the future, I will be shopping for my family at your competitors who support FundScrip. |

| 466 | Mary Kish | I am extremely dissapointed that Loblaw’s has changed their policy on the sale of gift cards. As a volunteer for a non-profit youth sports team and a long time Loblaw’s customer myself, I find it hard to believe that Loblaw’s would withdraw from this program that helps support youth in our community. The purchase of Loblaw’s gift cards was 40% of our orders. I, like many of our members will be shopping at your competitors who continue to support non-profit groups through Fundscrip. |
| 467 | Deborah Baluch | If you saw the state of our public schools, you would understand why we should be considered a charitable organisation! |
| 468 | Anonymous | Please reconsider your decision. All of my family members shop at the "Loblaws and etc" stores for our grocery needs and other items. It would be ashame that we would have to change the grocery retailers. |
| 469 | Anonymous | Please re-consider pulling from the Fundscrip program. As a grandmother I help support these programs by purchasing Loblaws gift cards for all my grocery shopping. |
| 470 | carol blake | Mr. Weston ,
Please LISTEN to the people that are signing this petition. Many groups have been working hard setting up this program for their organizations. I have been working this program for 3 years and it takes incrdible time to build a foundation of parents that COMMIT a loyalty purchase for pre-paid Loblaws cards. That is the part the volunteer plays in this FundScrip program building the trust with their community.
When you pulled out in March '06 (due to reconstrution of rebate program) we lost a significant amount of rebates every week you were not involved in the program, and realized how vulnerable we are to trusting retailers.
I find it coincidental how you pull out just as we get the program rolling in Sept. and pulled out in Mar. when we were working hard to top our funds before the school year ended. This is an incredible program that combines education, fundraising and communities.
Please reinstate the gift card program with FundScrip, they are an invaluable Co.servicing small organizations.

| 472 | Anonymous | Being able to get Loblaws cards was the motivating factor that many of our supporters joined this fundraising campaign.
This will greatly affect our charity. |
| 473 | Nathalie Normandeau | This really is a shame because through Fundscrip, Loblaws was really giving back to the community where its stores are. Parents who bought Loblaws giftcard through Fundscrip, did so to support their children's school and went grocery shopping to the local Loblaws, feeling the company cared about the community. Many of our parents are switching to IGA, Metro and SuperC because, let's face it, food is food and we'd rather buy it from someone who cares! |
| 474 | Gordon Diver | As the group administrator for the Alzheimer Society of Brant and a parent, I'm on both sides of this. The Alzheimer Society of Brant is a registered Canadian Charity and would have to concur that though we could purchase from Loblaws directly, we do not have the means financially, tehcnology wise or with human power to run the program independantly. FundScrip has been a great benefit to our fundraising efforts and for us only just starting. As a parent and on my child's parent council, we would be shut out. I can advise you that we have seen a change in buying pattern with our Fundscrip orders and I believe it is an opportunity for Loblaws in a competitive market. |
| 475 | Louis Zargi | I am disappoointed with Loblaws decision not not renew its funding. |
| 476 | Anonymous | I think it's shameful that a company like Loblaws, who depends so heavily on the communities in which it sells, would remove this vital form of fundraising to so many groups who are not registered charities, but are nontheless integral to the well-being of the community.
Even worse, anyone who knows anything about gift cards knows that you are making money off them. So why remove something that is profitable for you from those in your community who need you? It just seems really short-sighted.
With respect to Fundscrip, we couldn't run a scrip fundraiser without them: they assume all the risk, take away most of the administration and leg-work. So don't bother trying to sell directly to us - it won't work!
Why are you doing this? |
| 477 | Anonymous | We live in a small town with only one grocery store- Valumart and without it listed in funscript there is not much incentive for people to shop in town, as is most people shop in the city nearby where prices are more competitve! With Loblaws decision the grocery chain i will seek out will not be a Loblaws owned store! Please reconsider |

| 483 | Monica Verdeja | Dear Mr. Weston:
This is the first year that we use FundScip as a fundraiser and the parents are overjoyed. Most of our parents are great supporters of Loblaws and Maxi. When they were told that we would no longer be able to buy Loblaws gift cards they were very disappointed. Most of the reactions were "well, we will go elsewhere to buy groceries". I hope that you have thought this through because not only will it increase your competitors sales but our children will remember Loblaws as the grocery store who wouldn't help us raise funds for our school or sports activity.
Please reconsider, there must be a way to come to an agreement which benefits all.
Thank-you |

| 493 | Anonymous | Since Loblaws is the only distributer of kosher meats and dairy products in Ottawa, we have no other choice for these products. However, we can visit competitors for other products.
Although we are a charitable organization, it is difficult for us to purchase large amounts ahead of time due to cash flow issues. |
| 494 | Gary Regis | I think this is a poor choice by Loblaws. Do you how much bussiness goes to your store's buy people buying these gift cards. over 85% of our club purchases your cards, now they must move their bussiness to another chain that will support the gift cards. How can these other chains support it but you can't. This not by law so what are you trying to do!!!!!! Gary Regis and family |
| 495 | William Johnson | I support a registered charity in this program and regret your decision. I know the charity needs the income from this program and hope I will not have to support your competitors because I like shopping at our Zehr's store |
| 496 | william Johnson | I support a charity and regret your decision.
I enjoy shopping shopping at Zehrs and hope you will reconsider your position so I can continue to support my registered. |
| 497 | Sue MacGillivray | |
| 498 | Carolynn Lucas | I can't believe an organization the size of Lowblaws would not help their own communities and schools - this is for our children! Your child very well could be attending the school you are taking away from. Can only say I am extremely disappointed with Loblaws and this will effect my decision in shopping with them. |
| 499 | Alvin Boudreau | I was a regular shopper at Maxi in Chateauguay,Que. using Fundscrip gift card.
Since Loblaws has discontinued the FundScrip cards, we have switch to SuperC and IGA who participate in the Funscrip program. |
| 500 | Susan Gruetter | Loblaws stores are the stores I visit most for my gorcery shopping. I would have to stop shopping there because I want to support my schools' fund raising. |
