Improve liberal programming on Sirius/XM Radio

27 Signatures Goal: 100

When Sirius and XM first announced their proposed merger, we subscribers were excited as the prospect of combining programming to improve the options available to us! Regarding the fans of liberal talk radio, Sirius subscribers were looking forward to receiving Air America while XM subscribers had heard good things about Sirius radio's original talk programming as well. It's now becoming apparent that the changes we were hoping for may never come. Sirius subscribers are frustrated with an evening hour of Stephanie Miller (on delay) and just an hour of Thom Hartmann in the middle of the day. And XM subscribers are wondering if their favorite programs are now on the chopping block. Enough is enough. We are tired of seeing conservatives offered a wide variety of programming options (Patriot/Right, Fox News, Fox Radio) while we have only a few mainstream left-wing programs available to us. We are calling on Sirius/XM to expand liberal talk programming to two channels on both systems, in order to include LIVE 3-hour format nationally syndicated programs like Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Rachel Maddow, Ed Shultz, etc. Those signing this petition are giving a deadline of 6/1/09 for positive changes to be announced before we begin canceling our subscriptions.
