The petition

This petition is to inform Activision of the dissatisfaction it's consumers have experienced with their current decision to not allow a software patch to be released, consequently disallowing compatibility of their Les Paul guitar game controller with any other video games for the Sony Playstation 3.
This patch was designed to enable compatibility and use of Activisions Les Paul guitar, which is sold packaged with the video game "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock", with game developer Harmonix's video game entitled "Rock Band" for play on the video game console Sony Playstation 3.
The decision to not allow this software patch to be released displeases a wide range of past, current, and future customers of Activision, as consumers were lead to believe Activision would program their game peripherals to the same standards and specifics defined by the industry.
The issue lays not soley within Activision's desire to not allow their guitars to be compatible with another companies product, as if this was their primary focus, their products would not currently be compatible with the video game "Rock Band" for the video game console Microsoft Xbox 360.
The intentions of Activision are purely greedy, financially driven, and comes at the sacrifice of maintaining a positive image and the respect of the consumer base.
I sign this petition as a notice to Activision, Inc. that until they allow said software patch and cease all actions in attempt to block the compatibility of their product with the business standard and norm, I will not purchase any products or services which will promote the success of Activions, Inc.
