| 101 | Doreen Baxter | My mother was born in Leith, and lived there for 33 years, so I have a deep interest in it.
As a recently retired Museum custodian, I wholeheartedly support the campaign for a local museum. |
| 102 | Sandra Ellis | As a family history researcher, I would find a museum VERY helpful---I'm always looking for "more"! |

| 112 | Fiona Russell | I am fiercely proud of my Scottish Ancestors and would like to see my heritage made available to all. |
| 113 | Anonymous | My parents were both from Leith and I occasionally visit there. Anything to benefit Leith is a good thing. Whilst walking my dog in Southport a young English lad said he lived in the friendliest place in Britain and I wouldn't guess where. Imagine his expression when I guessed Leith and I was right! |
| 114 | Anonymous | A Leith museum would do much to attract additional tourist revenues to the area. |

| 121 | Gerald Edmunds | As a descendant of a family who has strong connections with Leith I passionately believe that it is necessary to preserve local history and identity while we move to an increasingly globalised society and when many people from areas such as leith have moved to other parts of the world. For those of us who proudly look to places like Leith for our past such institutions as the proposed museum are very important for retaining a sense of identity. When I visit Edinburgh in a year or two (from New Zealand) such an institution would be one fo the first places I would visit. |

| 123 | Anonymous | As a descendant of ancestors from Leith, I think it would be wonderful for Leith to have a Museum, and I'm surprised that up till now they haven't.
There must be a lot of history out there in the port which would justify a Museum.

| 124 | elayne young | a leith museum is LONG overdue!,i am leith born and bred(i now live directly across from leith in burntisland)leiths history has long overshadowed by that of edinburgh,a museum would be a great asset for leithers of all cultures and visitors to our vibrant town |
| 125 | Anonymous | I have been researching my family history for a few years now and have plenty of ancestors specifically from Leith. I plan on visiting Edinburgh and particularly Leith in order to discover this historic area famed for it's fishing industry. It would be fascinating to be able discover my ancestors through the unique way that museums protect and present this type of social history.

| 133 | Patricia Clarke | My family history is in Leith c. 1800. I would love to be able to come to the area and see a museum specifically on this part of Edinburgh, for and about the Leithers.

| 142 | Daryl Stevenson | The furthest back I can trace my ancestors is to Andrew Stevenson in Leith c1826.
When I eventually get to Edinburgh from here in Strathalbyn, South Australia, I would like to be able to visit Leith and be able to gain a local overview of the area's history.
Yours, Daryl Stevenson |
