Nous, Libanais signataires de la pétition, réclamons pour tous nos concitoyens, qu’ils soient au Liban ou à l’étranger, la possibilité de voter et d’exercer ainsi leur droit civique le plus fondamental, garanti par toute démocratie.
Rien ne peut justifier que ce droit ne puisse être exercé par les Libanais, alors qu’un pays comme l’Irak, en pleine guerre et sortant de 50 ans de dictature, reconnaît ce droit à ses expatriés, qui ont la possibilité de voter dans 14 autres pays.
Nous demandons par conséquent aux autorités compétentes de tout mettre en oeuvre afin que nos compatriotes aient la possibilité de s’inscrire sur les listes électorales et de voter dans l’ambassade ou le consulat libanais du pays où ils résident.
(NB: Exceptés les Prénom et Nom, toutes les autres informations soumises restent confidentielles et sont utilisées pour vérification ainsi que pour établir des statistiques.

ENGLISH:
We, Lebanese signatories of this petition, claim for all our fellow citizens, whether they are in Lebanon or abroad, the possibility to vote and thus exert their most fundamental civic right, guaranteed by any democracy.
Nothing can justify that this right cannot be exerted by the Lebanese, whereas a country like Iraq, in war and outgoing 50 years of dictatorship, recognizes this right to its citizens, who have the possibility of voting in 14 other countries.
We ask consequently the proper authorities to do everything in their power so that our compatriots can be registered on the electoral rolls and vote in the Lebanese embassy or consulate in their country of residence.
(NB: Except First and Last Names, all other information remain confidential and are used for signature checking as well as for statistics.
The petition credibility depends on the authenticity of the signatures and of the information you submit.

This petition was started by a Lebanese student in France, outraged by the fact that all Lebanese living abroad cannot exert their right to express their political beliefs for the elections held in Lebanon.
