| 253 | Billy Makovy | I just recently purchased a new house in Liberty Hill. The main reasons for moving to this area was the small town atmosphere and quality of life. Bringing in the proposed low income housing will significantly effect both our quality of life and community overall. In addition, this may negatively effect our home values and detear may people away from moving to our community. Liberty Hill is also know for an outstanding schools and education facilities. This proposal may hurt our school systems. Please vote no on this proposal, Liberty Hill will be a better community minus low income housing. |

| 257 | Dixie Campbell | I am STRONGLY OPPOSED and feel this will negatively impact Liberty Hill. Why would you put this type of housing in a community where there is no public transportation or employment for people who would utilized this housing - it makes no sense except as a money grab --- VOTE NO. |

| 262 | Ron Schultz | I moved here from a big city to get away from exactly what is starting to happen here. I oppose this housing project, and the degradation of the quality of life here that it will bring. |

| 265 | Tina Swenson | I have lived in several small town communities that allowed subsidized housing and not only did the criminal element move in but so did the traffic an over-crowding of the community. There is no way to maintain a small town enviroment if you allow this type of developement into our community. I am opposed. |
| 266 | Linda Shrader | I am strongly opposed to the subsidized housing project in Liberty Hill. This project is not in the best interest of the quality of life for our community.
If Liberty Hill is interested in providing housing for lower income citizens, contact Habitat for Humanity. The people that would qualify for this program are required to put in some of their time in the construction of the home. This builds pride of ownership & interest in maintaining their property & involvement in the community. |

My wife and I ABSOLUTELY OPPOSE any zoning change that would allow for the development by the Texas Housing Foundation of any project for subsidized housing, both now or in the future. My wife has grown up in the Liberty Hill area, and been a part of this community for over 40 years. We value the quality and character of this small town, and do not want to see "outside influences" ruin what makes Liberty Hill so special. No amount of money is worth it! This proposed subsized housing project is not good for the future of our families and community. Thank you for your consideration. |

The loop could become a famous Christmas drive, or some other fantastic tourist attraction, who knows? The possibilities are endless. But, if you begin to drastically change the "old time" small city atmosphere with "new" big city style inner city dwellings, then this city will lose a great deal. I grew up in a small town that grew suddenly and out of control. Within a short period of time, a sleepy safe place changed to a gang filled city covered with graffiti. |

| 278 | Eric Hoge | I don't like the idea of the housing development. Also, I don't appreciate the action and temper displayed by the individual that yelled at the ladies at the ballgame who were working the concession stand when the petition was displayed. There was nothing wrong or illegal with posting that petition. If this housing developement is such a good idea, why are folks being bullied, embarassed, and yelled at in order to stop the petition of folks who don't want the developement??? It sure seems that there is some underlying reson (or money) that is playing a part in this push. I understand that a nursing home was the first idea to rezone the property and it was denied. Why then is subsidized house being pushed? What is the difference? Who is benefiting from this? |

| 292 | Tim Hemesath | liberty hill is not the place for "soon to be a slum" housing developments or places to this nature, if money hungary poeple supporting the issue where from this Liberty HIll they might agree. ive been in liberty hill my whole life and still reside after attending college for three years in waco. i went though the great school system at LH K-12th grades also. the more trash that shows up around here will also end up in the rivers and polution will become a problem too...think about not putting the place up...just sounds better......the land here is more than just a place to place your name on a sign and sell it...realtor suck |

| 294 | Ronald D. Kemper | i'm deeply concerned that the quality of our schools that have been achieved through the efforts of our school staffs, students (our children), and parents will be quickly lost by the influence of this project.
we can site many cases where this has happened in Central Texas. |

| 296 | Kendra & Jonathan Newell | We do not feel that this type of development should be approved. We moved our children to this community 8 years ago and this town has grown considerably since. We need to slow some of this growth to allow for other areas to catch up. Currently our schools are over worked and since we have lived here there have been 2 new schools built and even now the size of those buildings have shown inadequate space for the growth that has already been approved. By approving this type of development it will continue to over crowd the schools but also over work the teachers that are already under staffed. |
| 297 | georganne wells | Stop the insanity-listen to those who live here in Liberty Hill- |
| 298 | Anonymous | Taxes are to high now. We don't need this housing, why most of us live out here to get out fo the rat race. Would be best to encourage businesses to move here, put more people in jobs and more tax money for here.
What is the Council getting out of this? If this goes thur hope they put this housing next door to each of their homes. Let them be afraid to leave cars outs, and keep doors locked. this is not the thing to do and is not going to make Liberty Hill a better place to live....... |
