| 618 | Iona Ballard | I am the parent of a stroke survivor. My daughter Tawny had a stroke 3 yrs ago @ age 8. No known cause. it has been a very long 3 yrs. I did not even know that a child could suffer a stroke until it happened to Tawny. Luckily Tawny received medical treatment with in 24 hrs.She is doing amazing. She suffered her stroke on July 21,2006 but still managed to start school on Aug 16 with the rest of her friend.She still suffers from left side neglect, attention issues and social issues. More awareness is needed so that treatment is received soon.
