Retsu-ipetitions TakahashiIn the 5+ years that our family has lived in the 11218 neighborhood, we have only had several occasions to go to Kensington Station. Based on those experiences, we've done out best to avoid our local post office, and instead go out of our way to make use of a neighboring zip code's office. We look forward to the day when our local post office station operates in a way in which we are made to feel like the customers' needs are valuable.

judy choii need an efficient working post office in the neighborhood. when mailing packages, i avoid the kensington post office and go to the nearest one outside of kensington because of the troubles there.

Robert ThompsonThis office is worse than a dysfunctional high school. I do like our letter carrier and regular delivery guy, but the place needs to be swept out and restaffed.

Barnet LehrerThis post office has a habit of only have at most 1 or 2 clerks working at its most busy times. For people such as myself who work at home, the 1-2 hours spent waiting to pick up a letter or package can be devastating to our livelihood. This must be addressed by our political representatives.
kristy LeviI have waited in line at this branch for up to 1 hour and 10 minutes. I have seen the line snake back and forth through the lobby. Please help.
Gilly NadelI have stood in line for as much as an hour because there was only one window open.
Grey MorrisThe Kensington Post Office is the WORST I have ever used. It has been TERRIBLE for years. I tell people to mail to my work office or use alternate delivery methods just to avoid using the P.O. The employees are rude and clueless, the location crowded and ill-organized. Please help.

Matthew DonoherWaiting on line at this Post Office is always a horrible experience. I dread it when ever I receive a pink parcel pick up notice, this means an easy 1-2 hour wait. The machines for stamps are always empty & courtesy is an unknown.

Karen ChikofskyThere is the additional issue of receiving mail at my home that is supposed to be delivered to other addresses.

Robert WaughI have been verbally abused many times at the post office, most recently because I asked for a pen. The worst was the abuse when asking for a flat rate box, which they insisted didn't exist. Please save us from these employees, they are cruel.
Thomas CarpenterThe Kensington Brooklyn Post Office has rapidly garnered a reputation for being among the very worst Postal facilities in the United States. I only wish that this were hyperbole. But it truly is among the worst.

Ken MossThis community is rapidly growing and the 11218 Post Office's service is already grossly inadequate. I choose UPS or FedEx whenever I can because I know 11218 will not actually make an effort to deliver a package.
Anonymous11218 is in desperate need of an additional post office! Thanks!

Sharon GoldmanIt is time to stop glossing over this issue...the Kensington Post Office is truly the worst, and the manager runs the place like he is the king of the castle. Let's get this done!
Christopher TownsendFirst, I agree with the general complaints about extremely poor service from that post office. I regret that I rely on it. Second, some pure stupidity appears to lie behind some general behavior: 1) non delivery orange postcards when NO delivery attempt was made or perhaps possible given the cart size 2) favoring passport applicants over package and mailing customers 3) out of 5 windows, 2 are generally open The orange delivery cards are generalized dishonesty. I have NEVER had a redelivery attempt, and the working schedule of most New Yorkers prohibits any sort of recourse, in my opinion. In fact, I cannot even send mail from my residence, though if that is due to some technical reason or general reluctance on the carrier I do not know. I do not expect perfect servicce, but the degree I recieve is so far below what I have experienced elsewhere that I find it completely unacceptable. Thank you, Yours, cpt

linda zisesI think the problem is the lack of proper management of the staff and the insufficient number of persons working at the present location. another location is not going to automatically solve the prolblems that have pledged this neighborhood's post service for over twenty years.,
Karen ChikofskyWe definitely need another branch of the post office located in a different area to lighten the load at the McDonald Avenue building.

Sarah RenfroI have my packages sent to my work address because I have no faith in the 11218 office to not lose or damage everything that is sent there.
AL SPENCERI agree. The Post Office opens at 9:30am, the lines are extremely long, the elderly have to stand for long periods of time, because there is only two(2) windows open to perform all transactions. I work in Nassau County and you will never see this happening.
Sarah TemechThe thought of going to that post office is so irritating I take packages I need to mail to a Manhattan PO. I once had to pick up a package and actually received a slip in my mailbox (usually they are placed on the outside door where foot traffic, wind and rain make them disappear). The slip said I can pick up my package after 8AM on a certain date. I was there promptly at 8AM since I needed to get to work. I waited along with 5 other people there for the same reason. The front door was open but no staff was to be seen. At one point a staff poked his head out but only to say the window doesnt open until 10. All of our slips said 8AM. I called the branch from my cell phone since no one would come out to even talk to us or look at the fact that our slips indicated pick up begins at 8AM. Finally after about 30 min of me explaining the situation on the phone someone came out and serviced the disgruntled customers. I have never returned and now tell everyone to address my packages to my parents apt in Manhattan, an inconvenience I should not have to deal with. Please improve this PO with more services, a automated post machine, better STAFF, and please please please take a mop and clean that place. Its filth.
Anonymouslow work ethics. primadonna attitude. no automated machines. looooong lines

Liam ElderThe filed my package under the brand of the box, not under the address nor the receivers name. Great logic...
