| 152 | Richard Ward | Chicago parks belong to all the citizens, not to fence off, or build on by the wealthy and politically connected. This has always been a struggle, and the people will always win if they remain strong and dedicated to the cause of open parkland. Elected officials that violate open parkland do not get re-elected. |

| 155 | Lisa MacDonald | It is irresponsible to build a soccer field on public park land. My children are 9 and 7 and play soccer. They love the game and we love watching them, however, turning even a portion of Lincoln Park into a soccer field is wrong. It should be kept as a green meadow for this generation and all others that follow. It is not just about what is convenient right now! We have to think about what is right now and 100 years from now! |
| 156 | Susan Proffitt | I have used that space for over 12 years and do not want to have it taken without a say in the matter. |

| 162 | Beth Dolinsky | There is something seriously wrong with our elected officials thinking that the citizens who entrusted them with protecting us and our future generations have now decided to sell us out to the highest bidder. Keep the parks free from privatization. Chicago has higher taxes than almost any other city in the nation. If properly budgeted, there is no reason to privatize the park system to sustain them as well as our schools. Where does all the money go? |
| 163 | Rena Honorow | |
| 164 | Jacquie Brave | When will the Chicago Park District ever figure out that the parks belong to everyone and that the they have NO LEGAL RIGHT to sell it to a moneyed group that wants to use it for their own personal use?
Land grabs are not in the best interest of the
law abiding citizens. This is NOT Meigs Field! |

| 167 | Anonymous | I lived in Chicago for the majority of my life (approx. 55 years....I lived in Lincoln Park West across from Zoo for many of those years. The Fullerton Beach was my second home. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE ALLOWING A SOCCER FILED WHEN THIS IS AN AREA FOR ALL OUR USE...NOT DESIGNATED TO ONE GROUP. ALL OF YOU ARE DOING AN INJUSTICE TO THE BEAUTY OF LINCOLN PARK!....ALL THE PARKS ACTUALLY. HOW DISAPPOINTED I AM IN ALL YOU YOU AT CITY HALL THAT CAN ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN. LOOKS LIKE MY FAMILY WON'T CONTRIUTE TO THE DIFFERENT EVENTS CHICAGO PUT ON YEARLY. PLEASE, PLEASE RECONSIDER THIS HORRIFIC DECISION!! |
| 168 | Judith A. Burke | |
| 169 | Christina Hernandez | As a former Chicagoan (50+ years), I cannot believe that the citizens and residents of Chicago don't have a say in keeping the parks "Green" for everyone....not to a specific segment of people. Approximately 99% of Chicago residents love going to the "park" because of the beauty and peacefulness it gives them. I used to go to Fulerton Ave Beach and North Avenue Beach area and throw a blanket down on the grass, read a book and fall asleep. To do this for profit is appauling and as usual Chicago tactics "underhanded". I TOTALLY OPPOSE THE SOCCER FIELD...and I happen to be a soccer fan or as they say in England "football".....GET REAL AND LISTEN TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE AREA AND THOSE OF US WHO COME THERE FOR THE BEAUTY OF THE CITYFRONT AND ITS PARKS. If you want a soccer field do like years ago and use Soldier's Field in off seasons...that was a fun time. Unfortunately it didn't work then and it won't work now....Why ruin the beauty and take things away from the residents of the Chicagoland area. |
| 170 | Sam Martin | The city says it is environmentally friendly. If so, why does the Park District want to continue to spend millions of dollars OF OUR MONEY to replace green space with an artificial turf soccer field and driving range at Diversey? Tim Mitchell, the board, and leadership of the Park District should be personally embarrassed. If they were in the private sector, I don't think they'd be able to get away with these shenanigans. |

| 174 | Catherine Northup | This is disgraceful behavior for a city that claims to strive for green living.
Even more abhorrent is the city's alignment with the very wealthy. By agreeing that 1,100 students at a pricey private school should be able to claim public land as their private enclave, the city has told the other nearly 500,000 children that live in Chicago, just how much the city and the administration value them.
I guess Chicago kids can start going elsewhere if they want to play outside. |
| 175 | Emily Morris | What does it take to have the Park District listen to the people of Chicago; they are saying loud and clear that they want their lakefront left as it was. |

| 191 | Br. Michael C. Oboza+ | I volunteer at a Nursing Home out there, and most to all the tax paying residents, agree. "No, means No!" The deal "illegal and voided by the county court," means what happened was illegal and voided by the county court. The tax paying residents, and I are tired and willing to all move away from Chicago for good, unless something "legal and accepted" by the county courts happen. |
| 192 | Anonymous | Daniel Burnham's legacy to all the people is being erased systematically by a few greedy people. |

| 194 | delphyne woods | Honor the unique and historic commitment made by the City of Chicago for the well being its citizens to keep the lake front "free and clear" of construction. One of the most beneficial aspects of life in Chicago is its park system. To begin to erode it, even for the Children's Museum, is utter betrayal. |
| 195 | Greg Eldridge | It is completely outrageous that a substantial piece of one of the public treasures of Chicago, Lincoln Park, is essentially being given to a private institution. Whoever authorized such a travesty should lose his/her job immediately. The citizens and the courts have spoken. |
