Keep Prescott Elementary Open!

The petition

We petition the GDRSD School Committee to keep the Prescott School online and open as an elementary school in the GDRSD.

Because there has been insufficient time and information available to make an informed decision on such a significant matter, we also request that the GDRSD School Committee create a subcommittee to vigorously study ALL long-term cost saving options for the district while preserving education as a priority for the long term good of the district. The subcommittee would provide recommendations for next year's '09/'10 budget.

At the very least, we petition the GDRSD School Committee to place the Prescott School budget on the towns' (Groton/Dunstable) override ballot to
allow voters to choose to keep this school online as an elementary school for the good of the entire district while ALL long-term cost savings initiatives are investigated.

We support education, we support our schools.
